there's a new wave of ppl on tiktok saying instead of using AI you should just straight up copy/paste fiction from real authors for your own works, as if that's any better

so that’s plagiarism and a direct violation of ao3’s terms of service—ao3 allows ai-generated works, but it doesn’t allow direct plagiarism—and of any other platform’s rules too. also you (general you) can face legal repercussions for this.

not to mention, fanfic writers are real authors. just because fanfics cannot be monetized doesn’t mean authors who write aren’t real authors. I’ve already talked about this here.

"children need more safe space online" children have always had more than enough safe space online. what you're seeing is children deliberately coming into online space that is meant specifically for adults. and I am not saying they are not welcome by the way, as long as adult space is what they CHOOSE to be in and as long as they keep themselves safe (however, it is not an adult's job or responsibility to look after a random kid or what content they consume on the internet).

but YOU. you see children deliberately choosing to consume adult contents and say "oh no we need more children's space, and in doing so, we must ban and censor adult contents FROM ADULTS' SPACE that children deliberately choose to be in.”

and you know what else I know? you don't actually care about children by demanding more children's space online, you are just hiding behind the "we are protecting children" claim while actively trying to control people what they can or can't create/consume in their own adult space. you are just trying to push for censorship, the fascist tool that you love so much.

Imagine Morty, if he ever has his own kid, trying to break the cycle of abuse and neglect, but ending up as the extreme opposite... My headcanon: Morty would be obsessed with structure.

Since He grew up with so much chaos and neglect, he would map out his kid's entire life on calendars and sticky notes. Attends to every school meeting. Make sure his kid goes to school.

God, Imagine He would force them into every social circle, making sure they won't end up like him, and has actual friends their ages and not have a 70 year old man as your only friend! *cough* Rick.

While driving them crazy in the process. Hmm yeah Morty would be an emotionally unstable parent trying to heal his own childhood trauma by turning into a super helicopter parent lol. The poor boy is trying NOT to be Jerry, Beth, or RICK, only to end up creating a whole new toxic dynamic.
