#60 Friday the 13th Part II - Steve Miner 1981
Jerry Wallace (1960)
Jerry Wallace (1961)
At the heart, I’m still a Baptist pastor. That’s who I am. What does that mean? It means I feel what I do at Campbell is a 'calling' and my primary responsibility at Campbell is to do everything I can to please and honor God.
Campbell University President Jerry M. Wallace on how the 16 years he spent as the pastor of Elizabethtown Baptist Church has impacted him throughout his nearly 12 years as Campbell's president. He'll step down from the position in June 2015. Read more --> Thank you, Dr. Wallace Part 3: On preaching and teaching
Campbell excites me. In my 45 years of being at Campbell, I could probably count on my hands and toes the number of times I didn’t want to come to work. It’s a joy to come to work at Campbell. I love seeing the students. I enjoy my colleagues, and it’s great to have something to work for and to be part of a team with a common goal. I’m not on a football team, but I’m on the Campbell team.
Campbell President Jerry Wallace in an interview on Campbell.edu in which he talks about his college experiences -- and why he doesn't regret walking away from the East Carolina football team after just two weeks.
“In recent years Campbell has become a regional leader in providing health education and in expanding access to health care in underserved areas, particularly rural communities. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree will provide another important dimension, allowing the university to support a scientifically- and technically-trained workforce critical to the state’s welfare.”
Campbell University President Jerry Wallace, in the announcement that Campbell trustees have approved the establishment of an engineering program at the university, expected to start in fall of 2016.
