Another rough handle whittled down, this time with octagonal flats and paired with a 3-1/2lb Jersey. I applied vinegar sludge and a touch of stain to patina the handle and I really like that it looks maybe not as old as the head, but they look right together. Total length is exactly 30 inches. There is just no extra wood on these handles for really deep patterns like Jerseys or Connies.
