has anyone ever called you cishet?
Yes, but I want to make it clear that although I am cisgendered, I am not heterosexual—I am attracted to both those who identify as male and female. I have been called a cishet both directly and indirectly, used as a vague generalization, and I am not very fond of the term.
Every time I have heard the word used, it as always been accompanied by something extremely negative and demeaning. I do understand that there are so many who are very closed minded to those who are not cishet, but there are also a lot of individuals out there who are open minded cishet’s and are very accepting of transgendered people. But, when one of those accepting people see the term cishet, the term they identify with, followed by death treats from those who are not, they no longer feel welcomed by those they have been helping/ friends with. It does not mean that they do not want to help, it means that they are not feeling welcomed to help.
I do understand that transgendered people, as well as others who do not fall into the majority, get threats like this daily, but it doesn’t make it right to let out your frustration and anger onto others in the way that others are directed to you. I feel like all of the terms that we as humans use to identify ourselves with just create more reasons for others to hate against us. We are all humans, for now, and should see everyone, regardless of sex, race, gender, religion, sexuality, and everything else, as humans. We are all the same when you look at our core organs, heart, lungs and brains, and, to me, none of the terms we use to identify ourselves and label others mean anything.
To the general public: Please stop hating others and taking the hate you receive out on others, and continuing the cycle. Ignorance and hate only spreads ignorance and hate.
This is one of the reasons that I hate people, and when I say people I mean people as every single human on this earth. I even hate my best friends and everyone I associate myself with on a daily basis.
