Jesse Chidera on Rum Tum Tugger and Bombalurina's relationship

“Tugger, he’s kind of a rebellious teenager and Bombalurina is like ‘alright then, come on’ so anytime Bombalurina came on to Tugger– it was like in secondary school when you’re trying to impress your friends and you’re like ‘yea I get girls’ and then when a girl actually comes in you just pretend to go on your phone and swipe around. Tuggers kind of like that. 

So the moment when Tugger sings ‘Only like what I find for myself’ Bombalurina is giving into him- like this is the moment where Tugger can show off what he’s made of but he has no experience with girls so he just like runs away- he doesn’t know what to do”
