Jesse Palmer
The madame needed a break so the producers called Jesse Palmer into the Joel mansion to hold down the fort. Jesse is a former NFL player and experienced tv host. His most relevant experience is his role hosting the Bachelor franchise shows - giving out date cards, consoling leads and contestants in their anguish, narrating the rose ceremonies.

The Joels are telling him about how things work at the brothel and explaining how it's tough sometimes. Jesse smiles and puts up his hands. "Hey, I get it, guys. At least you've only got one reader to keep track of, right?" He chuckles.
Stepdad's eyes widen in recognition. "Oh, shit. You were the bachelor! You were the one who forgot the girl's name."
Jesse laughs and smiles, "Yeah. That's me." The other Joel's are confused. Stepdad is already pulling up the clip. "Oh god, it's so cringe."
Jesse is standing there smiling like an NPC while they watch it. He smooths his unexplained scarf. By the 9th time they watch it, Jesse's amusement is fading, but he's still smiling. He clasps his hands together with his elbows out and says "Hey! You know what could be fun? How 'bout a holiday bake-off?"
"oh my god, you're that guy, too! My mom loves that show," slasher says. They're taking a liking to Jesse.
Jesse Palmer & Joey Graziadei
- appeared in a Bachelor crossover moment in the 100th episode of 9-1-1 (ABC). The Bachelor is an ABC TV reality show in which 'a single bachelor dates multiple women over several weeks, narrowing them down to hopefully find his true love'.
Jesse is a former football player from Toronto, playing briefly as quarterback for the Giants. He turned TV presenter, best known for 'The Bachelor' but also baking competitions (image below) and host/producer of 'Daily Mail TV'.
Jesse was himself The Bachelor in 2004, being the youngest bachelor at the time. He met his wife, Emily Fardo, at a boxing class in 2017 and they married in 2020.
This year's contestant on The Bachelor (season 28, see Independent article) was tennis coach Joey Graziadei who lives in Hawaii. He was previously a runner-up in 'The Bachelorette' (2023). He also appears in the 9-1-1 crossover episode.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is the person to thank for the 9-1-1 and The Bachelor crossover on ABC.
Labor Day might be on the way, but ABC is hoping to keep those summer vibes strong for a few more weeks with a new competition show, The Ultimate Surfer. Over the course of six episodes, 14 surfers — six from California, four from Hawai’i, three from Florida, and one from Puerto Rico (what… none from Nebraska?) will vie for the title of, well, the ultimate surfer. Jesse Palmer is the host, and while you’ll see some amazing surfing on the show, he says he’s really excited about the contestants’ different personalities and what each of them brings to the competition.
