These two are not only cousins (more like brothers) but best friends. They have each other’s backs and will go to bat for each other regardless of the situation.

Darion has been through this before, being a freshman. Last year was his first year at Copperdale Highl. Now it is Jesse’s turn. With only a day away from the big day, Darion is trying to give Jesse some words of encouragement.

“Just stay away from Auggie Fletcher. Especially if he is anywhere near a dumpster!!”

Day One was over for the cousins and they decided to walk home. Well, Darion decided. Jesse wasn’t as keen on the idea.

Darion said he had to make a quick stop over at the bookstore.

“Why you need to stop at the bookstore D?”

He didn’t answer Jesse, he just went to the window of the bookstore and then glared at his cousin.

“You can just go on home without me.”

Jesse stood there and waited. Why was Darion being so mysterious?
