Last Resort || Thomas & Jessica
Thomas sits casually by his knives, eyeing them with curiosity as he thinks about the conversation he had had with his wife before. There was nothing uncommon about the pillow talk, at least not for them. The subject of the group's future came up pretty early in the conversation, and with that thread came talk of Jessica and her cryptic answers. Everything she's said about God and how she's going to be their salvation doesn't sound comforting- not that it had been before, but the crucified survivor didn't make the cross look like a religious symbol anymore. There was no doubt that they had to get Jessica to speak, coherently this time around. They're getting nowhere with her spiritual babble.
Physical means had been his first suggestion, and while he had thought she would simply brush it off and go for a more humane form of convincing, she soon told him she was serious. It had been a while since Thomas had tortured someone. More than a year, in fact. In the period of time between the first blackout and when he had found he group had been spent mostly on his own survival, not any kind of torture. Nonetheless, he remembers most of the techniques, and he doesn't need anything else than what he has on him at all times.
He places each weapon in their correspondent holster or strap, making sure everything is tucked on before he puts the rest away and walks over to the corner where Tessa had placed Jessica. There's no hard look on his, no determination in his eyes or tension in his shoulders. He learned a long time ago that there is no such thing as emotion in an act like the one he's about to control. There's an unused office in another part of the manufacturing plant, and while he would prefer a more private place, he has no idea if Jessica's friends will decide a surprise appearance. "Come with me." It's not a question, nor is it a request. It's an order and his voice leaves little room for other options.
