It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #72
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
What Did I Read This Last Week?
Lucky Witch by Danielle Garrett
#5 Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery
Paranormal Cozy Mystery
The wheels fall off Holly’s relationship with Adam b/c they are both thinking of their own issues. Holly is obnoxious about the case and leaping into danger when she doesn’t need to and sorta proving Adam’s point. And, this felt too loose and all over. Not a fan of this one.
Tide Dance by Danielle Garrett

Fun summery short one that was back on an even keel. Selkie sighting!
The Giver of Stars by JoJo Moyes

A beautifully written evocative piece that captivated and transported me to the tough world of these horseback-riding librarians of rural Kentucky in the 30′s.
Bad Witch by Danielle Garrett
#6 Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery

Holly gets put on a surveillance and covert operation for the Supernatural Protection Agency when asked to spy on a cagey new roommate who just happens to be Nick’s new flame. Then a werewolf murder happens and its part of a chain of murders. Nick gets touchy with Holly and she worries about taking on this danger when she promised Adam that she would avoid it and her potions are roiling over because she can’t focus. But Holly sees it through. Good one.

Lacey is ordered home to her father’s vampire court to be the prize in his tourney of blood for the eligible suitors. But then a handsome un-suitor, a murder, and a best friend’s disappearance have her busy and her autocratic father is the least of her worries. Lacey could be high-maintenance, but was a solid heroine and this was an engaging story.
