I don't know if this is stalkery or what, but I don't care - I needed some support recently from some of my real role models... I doubt any of them really remember me (only sent a couple of messages back and forth with each at most), but these are the people who never fail to help me see the best in me - my true Tumblr icons and fonts of happy feelings. I currently have no real friends to talk to apart from my wife, as I've recently changed the end of the country, and certainly no one I'd be willing to open up to about my real self-image - while I work on changing this though, my supergroup here help prop me up during dark times :) Featuring: @thejoanglebook on vocals - thank you for showing me how happy you can be as a non binary person, your work online and general goofiness have always reminded me that there's more to me than my gender, and that you can still be horrid while figuring out what that means. @voxlunch on bass (with authentic Dregs gas mask) - thank you for being so open about your depression and the impact it has had on your life and work, seeing someone be as able as you to overcome it and release a constant product means the world to me, especially when I struggle to make it to the end of a day. @jessicareynolds on drums - thank you for showing the ups and downs of your journey of self-discovery, and for talking to me about it when I got scared of how I felt. Your videos and photos have down your incredible strength throughout a very difficult time, and your bravery in working through it has been a joy to (even indirectly) see. ...and of course, me on guitar - an idealized version, and even that helps me feel better - I am not yet the person I want to be, but that's okay - I am a work in progress, and I know that things will one day look up. Sorry for the huge ramble, just feeling emotionally fragile and gushy today! :p
