I’m facing a little dilemma that was brought to my attention again recently. During my twitch streams I often like to listen to my favorite music, which is no issue at all for the live broadcast but inevitably some of it gets muted in the twitch VODs and still more/different segments get muted if I upload to YouTube.
The big problem is this: even if I wanted to edit my playlist to avoid muting, I would need to comb through every VOD of every broadcast I’ve ever done and have yet to do in order to identify which tracks get muted in a continuous pruning process to make sure everyone is happy (except me, with this pile of offline work to do between broadcasts).
I’m really torn, because I want to make my content accessible to everyone but at the same time doing that means this big chore and probable loss of tracks I really like working to.
The only workable compromise I can think of is if one or more viewers (probably the ones affected most by muting) report their findings to me so that I can start building a broadcast-safe playlist. I’ll give this a shot, hopefully it’ll work. Thanks for understanding!
