Are you real?
“But the sun will rise.”
“You just need to find a way to make it through the night. It won't be dark forever.”
“It almost feels like a house of cards. All it would take is one to send everything crashing down.”
jessie: if you let peter die, i’ll personally murder you.

Where there’s Will by Jessie Walker
Well. Jesus fucking christ. Got to say, not had a book universe hold me in a literal chokehold like this in a loooong ass time. GAHHHHHHHH I WANT TO READ THE NEXT BOOKS 😭😭😭
Binge reading the Lost Boys books at the same time that I’m almost exclusively listening to the new Noah Kahan album worked out amazingly well.
The Great Divide is literally Mason and Waylon ❤️🩹 “my deep misunderstanding of your life” okay!
We Go Way Back is messy confused Jeremy to Mason and all their history in the midst of pain and grief 💔 ‘tell me you don’t need options that I have substance that I’m important’
Orbiter is Mason to Jeremy as their book closes and I’m so devastated about this 💔 ‘I’m gonna lose you either way’ 😖😖😖
Willing and Able is going to be soo good when we get to see Izzie and Jeremy together again, im manifesting this
Doors is just soooo perfect for Will and Way 💗 ‘i was born into a one hundred year storm…malcontented and unwarm, you were unsuspecting not unwarned’
End of August— that’s just about the band! Mason/Way/Shawn, ‘The Minute that September hits I’m going off my medicine’ ?????!!!!! I can’t even deal with this and how it specifically relates to Mason and Way.
I’m just saying like, these could all work perfectly in universe some way shape or form. They literally could have written the album, I keep hearing this kind of sound when they’re playing.
THAT DID NOT END WHERE I EXPECTED IT TO AND YET IS JUST AS ANGSTY AS I EXPECTED!!!
2024 Book #139
Title: Where There's a Will Author: Jessie Walker Genre: Romance, LGBTQIA+ Series: Lost Boys, Book 1
He was everything I never wanted. Impulsive. Careless. Self-Destructive. I'm the cliché they all warn you about. The head case with a pretty face. If I'm not chasing the bottom of a bottle, I'm snorting a line off a girl's ass. That guy you know who plays Russian Roulette at parties? That's me. But that all changes when he comes barreling back into my life. Will Foster. The boy from my childhood. The boy I told myself was a fluke. A mistake. Nothing. It's only a matter of time before he learns the truth. Before he sees me for who I really am under all the bullshit. Broken. Tainted. Worthless. He wants to love me whole, but shouldn't he know better than that by now? Saving someone who doesn't want to be saved is a recipe for disaster... And loving someone who doesn't want to be loved? Fucking hopeless.
Rating: 3.5 ⭐
Quick thoughts: solid, super emotional. i have a feeling i would have rated it higher if this was an audiobook.
