Regarding anon's question re similar fics to out of the blue - JessieBess has two : We will Find a Way and The Will. Glad you answered anon's question. I had asked a similar question and never received a response.

And thank you for bringing up those other stories! I have not read everything by JessieBess but she is a great writer and has written a great many stories across the board for DA fans, from stories that follow show canon to AU.  One of my personal favorites is Downton Remembered; it’s bittersweet in places, but also beautiful, providing a glimpse of the Bransons’ lives, growing old together.
