Jesslupe fic idea where Jess occasionally hooks up with another butch and it has Lupe feeling weird and dissecting why she feels put off by it. Initially she assumes it's aversion about butch4butch relationships and begins to question her internal ideas and biases about butch/femme dynamics but ultimately finds that the root of the problem isn't so much a relationship between two butches but rather Jess fooling around with another butch (who isn't her, because she's jelous!!). She becomes pensive while unpacking her own identity as a butch and what her gender expression means to her because she's honestly never even considered being with another butch and why is that?? And Jess reads Lupe as being distant because she's being quiet more than usual... And this entire time Lupe is jelous of the other butch, distant and brusque with her, sometimes even openly rude to her. And Jess reads that as Lupe being disgusted about butches being together and she confronts Lupe about being a bigot *gasp* "-and if you don't like that I fuck other butches than you can fuck off-" and Lupe's like -"what?? that's not what's going on at all. I just never even knew you considered other butches in your dating pool and now that I know i realize I don't want you to be with some butch who isn't me" and then they're both like OhHh and they make out.
