I posted about this a couple of days ago, but have since found a copy and can actually read it. Thanks to Fredrik Jullum for helping me out!

In the lead story, Ziggy Pig has a date, but Silly Seal interferes, and they baet the shit out of each other until Ziggy's date stops liking him.

I swear, '40s funny animal comics are basically just Jackass.

This sequence actually made me laugh.

Elsewhere: Krazy Krow tries to show how tough he is by fighting a gorilla, but just gets his ass kicked by a gorilla. The Creeper and Crawler steal meat, run from a cop, and get thrown in jail, where at least they get free meals. And Posty, the duck who's a postman, spends an entire story just complaining about his job.

I couldn't find this issue and know nothing about the contents, although the typical lineup would include Krazy Krow and Tubby Pig, with Ziggy Pig and Silly Seal headlining.

That cover is a really depressing metaphor for life. It implies that even as we dream of success, we are unaware of the imminent failure our dreams will not allow us to see. It also postulates life as a fundamentally antagonistic state of being, in which our goal is to vanquish our foes before they can vanquish us. Also, I think that house is about to fall down.
