“THE CENTER OF IT ALL”

Partners in business, art, and life, Carrie and Jesus Martinez are proprietors of a unique concept in Gainesville, Florida—creating “transformational space . . . through fitness, art and music” at Visionary CrossFit. The Northern California transplants collaborated in early 2016 to create this new mural on SW 2nd Ave for High Dive—one of only three Florida establishments listed among the CoS top 100 music venues in the nation. Using a local elementary school teacher as model for a work about female beauty, wisdom, creativity, and empowerment, the two turned to fellow Gainesville fine artist and nationally recognized astronomical artist Tim Malles to create the central galaxy image. @carriemartinez.art @visionarycrossfit @highdivegville
