I'm not frowning, just contemplating and ill tbh 😷. But can we just deep this verse for a bit. Jesus was innocent and pure. Like, he was perfect. Yet it was him on that cross. He'd been betrayed, mocked, beaten and hung on that cross... Yet he's the only person I know to ask God for the forgiveness of his wrongdoers in the time of pain. My man washed people's feet, including Judas, fixed a Roman solider's ear who was tryna arrest him, accepted and transformed outsiders.... Even in his death, he served us. This is selfless love. This is real love and mercy in one. He died for me so I'd be set free. I can't be like the crowd or the Romans in life. There have been moments where I've turned away from God but I'm back in the light now. I understand the meaning of this sacrifice and what it is asking of me as a Christian. I will do my best to live according to the gospel and allow God to fulfil his plan in my life cause I'm thankful for his sacrifice, ashamed of my sins but inspired to change. To forgive, to love, heal myself and others.
