05/19/2018 Good afternoon I realise I can't just pray for blessings that "I" want. That's not what its about. I have to pray for the blessings & things that God wants for me. God wants me to be obedient. I get it that obedience is a blessing. I want to be obedient. I think that's why saying these words out aloud was hard. People don't want to listen to nobody. People want to do whatever they want to do & don't want nobody to say anything to them for it or about it. People don't want to be obedient to anyone or anything. I don't have a girlfriend so when I'm lonely & by myself & i look back at old pictures of my Ex Im not cheating on anyone because I'm not in a relationship. However I made a promise to God that I would not look back at pictures & videos of my Ex. So I feel like I'm actually cheating on God by not being obedient. This the one thing I have a really hard time with personally. I'm not making excuses but coping with being alone is hard. If I be obedient and accomplish not giving in to my former lust. I believe God will see that and a new level of blessings will come into my life. So it's good that today I'm praying for "the blessing of Obedience" it's the thing I need most. 🙏 #prayersfortheblessingofobedience #prayersthatactivateblessings #theblessingofobedience #obedience #obediencetogod #jemelhbrown #humble #trustgod #submit #faith #reflection #afternoonprayer #powerinprayer #deepinprayer #meditation #study #read #implementation #blessed
Lord, thank you for bringing me to a place where I no longer despise the freckles on my face, shape of my nose or this temple you chose for me.Thank you for breaking the strongholds of comparing, self consciousness & insecurity. You’ve replaced them with a confidence & security that can only & should only come from You,the kind that can’t be easily shaken nor is it fleeting,it’s resilient.I desire nothing more now than to have a heart that radiates your love.I truly want it to be the most beautiful thing about me. Keep making me a woman after Your own heart. And though I fall short,You correct & carry me. You are constantly working & chipping away at the pieces/parts that don’t align with You,You give me eyes to see, help me overcome the lies...help my unbelief. You never give up on me.Thank You,Father.♥️ . . . . . . . . . #freedom #faith #healing #powerinprayer #hope #godfidence #restoration #beauty #personal #thoughts
PRAY....it’s powerful. #powerofprayers There is POWER in prayer. #prayerisaweapon Prayer is the power on earth that moves the power in heaven. #prayerpower Prayer is the most powerful weapon of a believer. #powerofprayer The power of prayer cannot be explained, but the power of prayer can be “experienced.” #powerinprayer The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.- James 5:16 #prayerispower You have a weapon that is stronger than all the forces of darkness! It’s called prayer. #prayerispowerful Prayer will get you in, get you out and get you through. Never underestimate the power of prayer. #prayersarepowerful Prayer is more powerful than your obstacles. #prayerchangeseverything A life of prayer is a life of power! God hears when you call on Him and when you pray to Him. #prayerchangesthings Praying is allowing God to take over. #prayerlife Just one prayer can change your entire life. #prayerworks Never underestimate the power of prayer. One small prayer can change your life completely. #prayers Battle after battle in the Old Testament is won by prayer, not by swords. In Acts, prayer opens a jail cell to free Silas and Paul. Through prayer, Jesus and the disciples heal diseases and even bring people back from the dead. If prayer can do all that, just think about what the power of prayer could do. #prayerful Praying is when you leave a world of not being able to do something, and enter God’s realm where everything is possible. #prayer Your prayer is more than words. It is a moment in which God’s power is released. #praying The way we get a breakthrough is through prayer. #pray ➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🔥FOLLOW MY SOCIALS🔥 1. YouTube/podcast: Uplift Past Crossroads 2. FAITH over fear
Do you ever find yourself wondering, what is the meaning of it all? I’d like to think the majority of people tend to ask themselves this question pretty frequently; if not every day. As a child, I grew up in a broken family - a mother addicted to drugs my whole life, later in life loosing her life to addiction. A father, that remarried and had three other children. Its safe to say, I ended up with quite a few loose screws. Aside from all the trauma that has taken place in my life - there has always been one thing that has been a constant; God. On my fathers side, I was raised Christian, We went to church on Sundays, youth group on Wednesdays, VBS during the summertime. Yet throughout all the trails I faced in life, even though I knew God I strayed from turning to Him and trusting in Him to fufill my “purpose”. Needless to say, most of my childhood and adult life, I’d suffered from manic depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety; the whole nine yards. I’d go through stages where I would be on a medication and it would seem to work, and I’d stop taking it feeling like I was okay without it just to end back into the downward spiral. It always felt like this never ending battle with myself. Up until just recently. As I said before, I grew up knowing of God and the Bible and Jesus dying for our sins; but never really practiced my faith in Him unless I was going through a hard time. Then I’d brush off God and everything to go with Him - yet in the back of my mind He was still there. Recently, my heart has been opened to everything I’d failed to pay attention to before. Why, you ask did it take this long? I had never practiced faith, faithfully. I blamed God for all of the horrible things that had taken place in my life, when in all reality - the enemy, aka satan really wanted to try and break me to a point of no return. Some days I truly thought he had won. Until I realized, my God is far more powerful then the enemy will EVER be. It took years of trying to do things my own way, and not really looking inward to the thing I was refusing. The truth. God, was, is, and will always be the ONLY way. Everyday, I strive to be better than I was the previous day for my God. My life, is still filled with trials and tribulations; except instead of trying to deal with this messy thing called life on my own; I cast my worries and problems to God. A God that never intended on the fall, a God that has countless times over again forgiven us for our short comings. I’m new to this whole blogging thing, but the Holy spirit has lead me to reach out to people who may be in similar situations and need the unconditional love from God. Always faith over fear.
It was such a blessing to be in God’s House this morning with my @riversideapostolic church family in prayer. How to pray for Afghanistan
I heard something the other day that changed the way I think about prayer. Our prayers give God the legal right to move. Now I know what you’re thinking. God doesn’t need our prayer to move. That’s what I always thought too. But the Bible specifically teaches us to pray about everything. Ezekiel 22:30 James 4:2
Philippians 4:6-7
We need to pray for the situation happening in Afghanistan. Below is a list of who and what to pray for.
First begin by acknowledging we have sinned against Him.
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
II Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
Americans stranded in Afghanistan - for protection and open a way to get out.
2. Christians are being skinned alive, burned, and hung - Ask God to bring protection to the Christians and bring confusion to the enemies that have told them they are coming for them.
3. Provision for all they need to live and be a witness.
4. Pray for the Afghan people. All men, women, and children.
Protection for the children from sex traffickers and forced marriages.
5. Protection for the military that is there.
6. The Afghan people who spent years helping Americans. Many have a target on their back, pray for supernatural protection.
7. And I know this is a hard one but ask God to give our President and others in leadership position wisdom in the next few weeks.
This situation is a huge mess and the God of heaven is the only one that can help us!
God can bring good from evil. The Bible is full of examples. Also pray for the Taliban. Why? Because Paul, who wrote most of our New Testament, was one of them at one time. He too murdered Christians. Then He had his road to Damascus experience where Jesus appeared to Him and changed him forever. Pray that there will be some Taliban that will experience a road to Damascus moment. It can happen! I’m believing it will. Many Muslims have reported “ the man in white” named Jesus who appeared to them and are being saved.
Pray like you would want to be prayed for if this were you in this situation.
Faithfully His,
Heather Hoffman
