zayn's a superhero and niall is the chillest villain ever, blue, ziall ofc!!

“Again?" Zayn groans as his crime siren goes off, dragging one arm across his face. It isn’t because the siren’s going off, it’s because it’s specifically his Niall crime siren. Which may or may not be a Justin Bieber song—Zayn isn’t willing to disclose that information to anyone. He rolls out of bed with a thud and gropes around the floor blindly for his Superhero pants, which he had shucked out of just four hours ago at 3:00AM after answering his last Niall crime alert. 

"Better fuckin’ be buying me breakfast," he mutters as he finds his uniform and yanks it on, snagging his mask off the hook by his door as he goes.

“What?" is the only syllable that Zayn manages to vocalize upon jumping down from a rooftop to street level.

"Fancy meeting you here," Niall says, cheerfully turning around and hefting his massive tank of a gun further up his shoulder. He doesn't even bother with his mask anymore; he knows Zayn is the first responder.

"What--" Zayn gapes. The street is full of octopods. "Is that? What is that, a cephalopod launcher?"

It's Niall's turn to look confused. "A what-what?"

"Octopus!" Zayn exclaims, waving his hands frantically. "Are you shooting octopus out of that very large gun?"

"Oh!" Niall beams. "Yes!" He claps a hand against the barrel of the launcher. "Great fun, which I'm suppose you're here to ruin." 

Zayn isn't sure "ruin" is the right word to describe both restoring order to a public space and also rectifying the seriously unethical treatment of sea creatures. He drags Niall to the bay and watches with sternly crossed arms as Niall gently plops each one back into the water, pouting at Zayn. (If Zayn keeps just one, a little blue guy, well. Whatever. Niall's pout turns into a smirk that makes Zayn want to zap him with his laser.)

When it's over and Zayn's settled his new blue friend in a cooler borrowed from the marina, he shoves at Niall's shoulder. "It's the break of bloody dawn and you didn't even bring breakfast this time?" 

Niall is surprisingly relaxed for someone who just had their cephalopod launcher chucked in the ocean after all its ammunition. "Oh yeah," he says, digging around in the back pocket of his skinny jeans. Zayn can't believe anything he'll pull out of there will be in good condition.

It's a McDonald's hashbrown, sort of smushed. Niall tosses it to him happily. "Eat up!"

Zayn looks down at in his palm miserably. "This sucks," he says. "You suck. I got out of bed at 7:00am for this, and there wasn't even breakfast."

"Chill out," Niall says. "I'll make it up to you." And then he bounds away before Zayn can either apprehend him or realize he shouldn't be encouraging criminals to try again.

i am a good listener, whether someone is a stranger, friend, or fam. i won’t interrupt, i will give them advice if they seek it, keep their secrets, & shower them with love once they’ve talked it out.

i work hard.

i really love love, and i love expressing love, and talking about love, indulging love, giving love, receiving love. if someone wants to talk my ear off about something that they love, i will be there with them 100% even if idk what’s going on simply bc i love to see people in love with the world. 

one time i got deliriously high while sick and laid on my hardwood bedroom floor and ended up crying about how unfair it was that some people aren’t told daily that they’re beautiful. i was so distraught by all the beauty in the world people don’t acknowledge. i had like a total sobbing meltdown because i just felt so bad i couldn’t tell every single person and animal and plant in the world that they’re beautiful. it’s a bit overwrought but i kind of love this memory now.

my only real goal as a person is to always grow more & learn more & gain more perspectives.
