Here's a little video I made to thank everyone who follow me on Facebook. It goes to all of you here as well (and there's way more than 1,000 of you and it blows my mind every single time!).
As an artist, at a time like this, I like to remember my favorite quote from Pascal Campion:
"Your image is not done when you're done drawing it. Your image is done when people see it, when people are able to enjoy it. Otherwise it doesn't exist, basically. It exists only for you. It's only a step further than like, it exists in my head."
Meaning, someone needs to see the art. Those people are you! Thank you!
I enjoy every single moment of bringing great pixel art into your News Feed, Dashboard, Timeline, wherever! On Facebook it's been a very cosy space with about 100 of that thousand being my personal friends from The Real World™. As for the rest of you, I really hope we're becoming great internet friends.
In the future I want Retronator to be even more of a community. I already put a lot of emphasis on showcasing other people's art, but I want to open dialog with everyone. I have big plans for 2015 and Facebook (besides Tumblr) will be one great place to carry them out. Hope to see you around when that happens!
Cheers, Matej "Retro" Jan // Retronator
