And you are a hundred percent right, Jet x Eclipse did for real start out as a joke in my mind. Funnily enough, I always pictured Eclipse finding Jet annoying. But the more I thought about it, and the more I learnt about Jet and all that...

I am a sucker for Romeo and Juliet tropes. To be honest, I was never a big Jet fan. I found him annoying. But I read more about him and I watched the cutscenes and I am like: Damn. This kid got A LOT thrown onto him at a young age.
Then i thought of Eclipse. He also got a lot thrown onto him. I mean, it is pretty clear he was forced to be perfect and be the ultimate weapon for the Black Arms.
Both of them have this insane pressure on them. Neither of them really got to experience anything.
Not to mention the whole headcanon that Jet's ancestors were hunted and/or went to war with the Black Arms. Romeo and Juliet.
Like, it honestly was just a joke. But when you took up to Jet and we started rping it....
I fell in love. I would die for Jetclipse. Jet helps Eclipse be himself and not be nervous, while Eclipse helps Jet know that it's okay to make mistakes.
