This image of Waikato River was once taken at the Aratiatia Rapids about 10 minutes drive from township of Taupo towards Rotoura. #Waikato is the longest the longest #river in New Zealand that reaches 425 kilometers and covers 12 percent of the north island. The spillway is opened several times a day to demonstrate the flow of the river before the dam was placed, measuring an #impressive 90000 liters per second of fresh water flow. It is a free tourist attraction and if you are nearby I would highly recommend visiting.
