THE LIFE OF AN IDOL. ↳ an aesthetic for @jeunz
Blotches of heliotrope scattered across your skin. Darkened bags under your eyes (covered by layers of makeup). Aching bones. Insatiable hunger. (you’re on a diet remember?) Incessant flashing lights(--they won’t care that it blinds you). Always a crowd. Cheering. Jeering. This your life now. The life of an idol It is not pretty. It is not poetic. It’s not as indulgent as you think. Slap a smile on that face, perform a dance number in a shorter than short skirt, and show the world how bright you shine. You’re a star. Don’t show any sign of sadness when you’re hounded on the way home. Don’t be surprised when you have peeping toms dying to catch a glimpse of something, anything. Make sure to lock the door and shut the curtains if you’re going to cry. Learn how to cry pretty. No one likes an ugly crier. This is your job now. You must be perfect. You’re a star. Stars don’t sleep. Neither will you. But you’ll pass out anyway. Exhausted from schedules. Your fans will be greedy, they always want more. But don’t worry, when the sun rises, you’ll try again. Wash away the night before. But be quick, you have to be in hair and make-up by 5am. Maybe it’ll be better this time. Maybe you’ll get more than three hours sleep. Maybe you’ll get to eat more than a salad. Maybe you’ll get to rest when you twist that ankle of yours. Maybe your fans will bring you flowers instead of following you home. Maybe. But nothing is certain. Just remember this is your life now, but don’t forget--
THE SUN WILL RISE & WE WILL TRY AGAIN
