I'm still a vegetarian, but I can't really defend it. The environmental reasons I had for quitting meat are basically moot at an individual level; I just don't have an appetite for it anymore.

I don't think being vegetarian or vegan even really needs to be defended at this point. It seems like eating meat is the thing that needs to be defended for those like myself, especially at this point in industrial western society. We've all seen pictures and videos from slaughterhouses and broiler factories and dairy farms; we know where the fuck all of this stuff comes from.
