WATERWASNTBUILT IS NO MORE
I have morphed two of my favourite things ever, Jean-Luc Godard's short film Je vous salue Sarajevo and that One Saturday Morning classic, Recess, to create jevoussaluespinelli.
May God have mercy on my soul.

Nope. I love that movie. Remember the therapist writing on the window? Lol, u have taste, I’m following you :)
Moritz! He was one of the funniest things in a very funny movie. I've actually named an incompetent (in very different ways) psychologist in something I'm writing in his honour.

Local Hero is so excellent, but the absurdly vulgar depths of Malcolm Tucker are hard to top in my mind.
Shamefully, I still need to actually sit down and watch The Thick of It.

Ah yes, this is bring back a lot of high school-era “I’m for equality" idiocy for me as well. Take heart, Ethan, we white fellows all have liberalism to atone for.
Yeah dawg, I grew up pretty conservative and proud of that... I even got a letter to the editor published in the local paper here shilling for McCain (this was before I could vote). Then I was pretty apathetic, took a turn for a few months as a libertarian, and then passed through being a liberal until my current enlightened state. It's been rough and I like to believe the reason I'm still on Tumblr is as atonement for these various sins.

Yeah, that’s basically it I think. Keep ‘em in debt. It’s just almost too insane to even conceive of a $200,000+ education (especially considering what adjuncts get paid).
I saw a DU friend who just graduated mention that he somehow had $250,000. I literally cannot imagine spending a quarter of a million dollars on an education. The revolution is his only hope. :(

Holy fucking shit, every time I see the tuitions at American schools I just about have a heart attack. How is that even possible without inciting a revolution?
Because revolutions are bad and only ever lead to tyranny and curtailed liberty! The best way to change the system is to work within it or get out to the voting boo
Sorry, I was trying to type that with a straight face and couldn't.
Really, there's so much going on with American higher education and how it ties into the "prestige economy" with unpaid internships, debt, etc. Doesn't Žižek talk about how debt prevents people from striking or rebelling since job security is such a rare thing?
Everything Ethan says is Zizekian, whether in content or performance or both.

Fuck, you actually found a copy of Christ the Representative?
Yeah! I picked it up on amazon.co.uk for £9.05, after the Kotsko interview on Homebrewed. Couldn't believe the price!
So I binge-watched all three seasons of Louie this week.
Now I'm watching Lucky Louie because, well, it's something.
