Both Alex/Lexie/Mark and Jackson/Lexie/Mark had so much potential for a good (if not the best) baby daddy drama like they could’ve played with possibilities and angst this could’ve given and being not so obvious especially in the latter one

Grey’s Anatomy: Jackson Avery - Type 3w2

Jackson is kind, confident and stubborn. Like Meredith, he struggles with coming from a family with high medical pedigree and wants to distance himself from his family’s achievements to make his own mark on the world.

At his best, Jackson looks out for the people he loves and is very protective and supportive of them. He is less concerned with his own feelings and tries to reassure and help the people he cares about (integrating to 6). Jackson is very close to his friends at the hospital and treats them like family.

At his worst, Jackson can be brash and doesn’t value the opinions or feelings of others. He sticks to himself and becomes less proactive and driven in achieving his desires (disintegrating to 9).

Jackson is very committed to becoming a surgeon and wants to prove himself to his family. When he first arrives after the merger, he doesn’t tell anyone about his connections to Harper Avery as he wants to impress them and make it on his own. He has a goal of being the best doctor and is willing to flirt with attendings to further his own interests. For example, he decides to flirt with Teddy to try and make her give him more surgeries (but Teddy sees through it). He also tries very hard to make the Mark like him and runs various errands while on his service. He believes that by doing these actions he will gather more opportunities in the O.R.

Jackson ends up being mentored by Mark and specialises in plastic surgery. Despite his early failures, he becomes a good surgeon and eventually is the chief of plastic surgery. While working with Mark, he grew very fond of him and looked up to him. He wanted to be like him and wanted to make him proud of the work he was doing.

Jackson has a very strong bond with April and despite the ups and downs of their relationships they always remain friends while coparenting their daughter. Jackson shows that he deeply cares about April, but feels like she doesn’t give him the attention he needs. 

Jackson shows his wing 2 as he is more people-oriented and personable than a 3w4 would be.

I know it’s controversial and I’m a slexie shipper all the way but I can’t lie Jackson and Lexie did look and go good together, I’ve never seen anyone post about them but I liked it when they were together😬
