jakegyllenhaal waking up today and looking over to my wife was the most incredible feeling. Yesterday was magical, perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’m so lucky to be able to call this incredible woman my wife. She’s my best friend, soulmate and the person who I couldn’t live without. She’s an incredible mom to our boys and even now I still fall in love with her more every single day @brielarsonhq. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our special day with us. Now, excuse me while I go stare at my wife some more with my permanent heart eyes.

jakegyllenhaal: when you’re enjoying your night at the Oscars but your son decides it’s time to make his grand entrance a few weeks earlier than planned. Everyone meet Heath Michael Gyllenhaal. Named after one of the greatest friends and people I’ve ever known. I can’t wait until he’s old enough for me to tell him all about how much his namesake meant to me and the world. He’s a healthy baby boy but we have to stay in the hospital for a few days just to monitor him. Don’t worry, though. He’s got those Larson genes so you know he’s already a little badass that can take on anything. Brie is doing good and I’m so proud of her. I’m so in love with that incredible woman and I know she’s going to be the best mom. I can’t wait for Archer to meet him and for Heath to know he’s being brought into such a loving little family. Running on zero sleep and hundreds of cups of coffee but it’s worth it. @brielarsonhq

jakegyllenhaal Friday the 13th is generally an unlucky day but for me it was the luckiest day of my life. I asked my best friend, soulmate, love of my life, baby momma and the best superhero in all of Marvel history to marry me and she said yes. Time to start planning a wedding @brielarsonhq! Let’s make sure to invite the ship captain for putting up with me and letting me use his ship to wow you.

jakegyllenhaal: can you believe this little dude turned two months old 10 days ago? he likes to smile a lot. at first i thought i was special and he was only smiling because he loved me so much then he smiled at some random old lady at the grocery store. i forgive him because he’s the cutest. he likes listening to me talk a lot (probably the only person that does). thanks, archer. you’re a real one.

jakegyllenhaal Looking after another human being is a big responsibility but the moment I laid eyes on our little boy, nothing else mattered. It’s true when they say once you meet your kid everything will fall into place. I’ve never loved anyone more in my entire life. Let me tell you, I’ve known this kid for a few hours now and he’s the coolest, cutest and most perfect person I’ve ever met. Don’t even bother trying to get my attention because he’s the only one that has it. I can’t wait to watch him grow up and see the kind of person he becomes.

Shoutout to his amazing mom, too ( @vdelaide ). She’s one of the strongest most incredible people I’ve ever met and I have so much love and admiration for her. I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else. Thanks for being my best friend and the mother of my child. Let’s rock this parenting thing.
