I am so mentally stable about Duel Links event right now

Asch is not necessarily my favorite Tales of the Abyss character (given most of his development is subtle and you have to read into the events much harder than for all the other characters even after playing a gijillion times I still discover new feelings about him) but I am still extremely happy to hear about that for Tales of Rays (and of course my anguish over it being canceled in the US). I am glad for you and all the other super Asch fans that you guys are getting this amazing event.

The anime (assuming you take it as canon/an extension on canon) helps make Asch’s whole predicament a lot more obvious, but yeah, unfortunately you have to squint and turn your head sideways to hope to get more at Asch.

I had always been weak for the whole....”other me” thing (coughdnangelcough), so I had a lot of fun with him on my first playthrough :’D

For Symphonia and Abyss stuff in Rays I’m actually willing to accept lots of new tidbits or developments as at least half-canon, since the scenario writer is the same for all three games....which is probably what had me yelling at this event the most, since it spells out a possibility for Asch and Luke that I had alwyas hoped was true myself lmao

The judgement one has for something they really loved as a kid is a terrifying force that I am able to beat (thank God).
