I know it is very much the heart of Tokusatsu but
I hope somehow that the cast and crew of boonboom knows that they brought genuine hope to me, an adult American very far from the demographic of Japanese kid lol, when I was in a hopeless state. They brought me the idea of a future that wasn’t as scary as it has been looking recently.
I try to keep pretty positive here but man. I hope they know what the message of that show and it’s themeing meant for me and I’m sure so many others. Jou’s arc being as blatant as it was made me cry not because of the typical character writing stuff that gets me but because I saw a show aimed at kids halfway across the world finally have the guts to say something so incredibly important out loud. I’ll be thinkin about boonboom for a while I think
