His obsession with you began when you accompanied your best friend Kang hosu to a party. It was a private party that you’d reluctantly gone to because you had nothing to do that weekend. You remembered that you’d worn an emerald hanbok style dress - nothing too fancy as that was the only thing close to elegant party wear that you had in your closet - you could’ve sworn that he was staring at your thighs in the way-past- the- knee length dress, but since men staring at you had become a part and parcel of your existence, you knew it was way more than the dress you had on.
You rarely drank alcohol, it was something that never came naturally to you as it came to others, and the full glass of whiskey in front of you just proved how apathetic you were towards drinking.
You didn’t know why, but no one ever wrote an instruction manual on how to be a grade a alcoholic now did they? Hosu was a dictionary definition of alcoholism and it was times like this that you begin to question why you’d even bothered coming to this party.
You absent mindedly picked the lint off your gown as hosu moved towards you with a half empty glass of whiskey, his almond shaped eyes crinkling with the smile he had on his face.
“Enjoying the party?” He asked planting a kiss on your cheek, the black straw in the glass of alcohol dangling from the rim of the glass… “and why is your glass still full?”
He questioned after he noticed that you hadn’t taken a sip out of it yet.
“I’m trying not to drink,” You said shrugging nonchalantly as Hosu took the cup from your hand and held onto it himself, his free hand caressing your cheek tenderly mocking you.
“you’re such a square” he teased as he downed the rest of his glass before placing it back down on the counter. Your glass of whiskey remained untouched on the counter.
There was no response coming out of your mouth except for a slight pout and you looked away from him. A couple of girls approached you giggling while Hosu laughed and talked with them like he’d known them for years as he stared at you from where he stood next to you on the other side of the room, his gaze lingering on the two girls for several moments before he finally broke off.
“Come dance”
another voice that wasn’t Hosu’s said . You turned your head slightly to the right to look at the person standing there and found yourself face to face with the man who’d been mentally undressing you earlier. He was clad in all black with hair to match, his brown eyes dilating as he eyed you, cunningly watching your every move. the mole above his top lip seemed to stand out more prominently than any other facial feature on him that you could notice. “It will be fun. Please, join me.”
You smiled politely at him, as you slowly put your hands in his.
if only, if only you’d known better than to give him your hands.
looks could be terribly deceiving right?
