ok watching con videos kill me so I can’t confirm this myself..do u remember what happened with that girl wearing a destiel is real shirt and Jensen was like “where?” bc I’ve seen some people say that after that he said “destiel is real,” some people say he was joking, and some people say he was angry...what actually happened??
the amount of times i have watched that con........good LORD. i could not tell you what happened because literally none of us can figure it out, jensen starts very happy, has misha straddle him etc. then j*red comes on stage and it’s like defense mode is on.
Now that i’m typing this....
I have always suspected they sent J*red on as a buffer, someone to keep the panel from going further into straddlegate underbears territory.
Jensen immediately clocks that he just got leashed in and goes pretty silent (while also having to worry about a major b*ner problem ajhfgladhg)
Jensen starts getting defensive, and when he sees the destiel shirt, which Misha points out “Does your shirt say ‘destiel is real’?” Jensen then, in this voice that i would say is sarcastic, but there are also many people this sarcasm could be directed at, or other ways to hear this tone, he says “Destiel is Real! Where? Where is it real?” which then misha starts with a weird jokey “jensen jensen, dont go there” or something along those lines....
I wonder if it could have been overcompensating ie. I just got called out for going too far so now i need to compensate and find a way to deny it...
Idk tho, I think he just got stressed and tired and frustrated (lots of reasons for that) and he didn’t really come out with what i think his intended tone was.
I know a lot of people who think he was genuinely asking “where do you see it, like tell me why so i can agree with you” others think it was a slight at destiel and another way of saying it isnt real, but there wasn't even a q about destiel, a person was literally just wearing a shirt, and Misha is the one who pointed it out too. Which is weird he did that if he noticed (he did) how tense Jensen suddenly was acting and thought that would bother him more?
God that panel is weird. I end up talking circles around myself.
Anyways, Jensen is a heller so i choose to not think abt this instance in the panel. He’s grumpy for the entire second half i cant even watch it without cringing jaglhglrsfd
