❀ It's the first time the fans get to see a trip like this with 10 members. The boys make sure to show the love they have for their youngest member OR the most domestic family trip with 9 men taking care of their little sister
“That’s right! Isn’t it?” Taeyong asks with wide eyes as JiHo leans back after whispering something in his ear. The boys turn towards him, slightly confused by his sudden outburst. “This is the first time going on a trip like this one with the ten of us.” The other members hum in acknowledgement. “On camera that is,” he quickly added.
For the rest of the planning of the trip, JiHo doesn’t really say anything. She’s mostly huddled up next to the leader, leaning behind him to talk to Jaehyun. Jungwoo leans in several times as well, trying to listen in to his friends’ conversation, but pouts as he gets pushed away by JiHo.
The girl brightly smiles as Jungwoo sits back in his spot, clearly sulking, and silently bursts out in a laughing fit, leaning against the boy who can’t help but smile at her touch.
“Oh it’s slippery!” Johnny yells out as he almost takes a tumble whilst walking up towards their stay for the next two days.
JiHo is walking all the way in the back with Yuta, who carefully pushes her to walk in front of him. A confused expression paints her face as she looks back at her friend over her shoulder. “What?”
“It’s slippery. If you fall I can at least catch you if you’re walking in front of me,” he winks at her causing the girl to groan, faking disgust by his comment. “Just be careful.” Yuta softly prods her side, making her move again and catch up with the other boys.
“There’s a doggie!” Doyoung yells out surprised, pointing at the small dog in front of the door.
“What?” Johnny walks up and mirrors Doyoung’s surprise upon seeing the dog. His demeanour quickly changes however and he says through a giggle, “don’t show JiHo! She won’t leave the poor doggie alone.”
It should be almost impossible for JiHo to hear what Johnny said, but from not even halfway up the stairs JiHo yelled, “there’s a dog?” The boys laugh in disbelief as JiHo rushes up the stairs and immediately starts to coo at the sight of the tiny dog.
“It’s slippery! Be careful!” Mark yells out watching JiHo’s feet move over the floor with what seems like no friction.
“Oh my… You’re so cute.” JiHo has already dropped down on her knees, as she carefully reaches her hand out for the dog to sniff. When he shows no opposition, JiHo freely pets the little dog, a big smile crossing her face as she does.
“I haven’t seen her smile this much in a while,” Johnny chuckles as he walks inside, most of the boys following him to leave JiHo with the dog.
The last to go in is Taeyong and Doyoung who both grimace at what they are looking at. JiHo’s jeans getting wet from the knees down and her umbrella left disregarded to her side. If it weren’t for Doyoung hovering over her with his own umbrella, she’d likely get soaked by the rain in no time. “JiHo let’s go inside, you can play with the dog from there so you won’t get wet,” Taeyong reasons as if he is negotiating with a child.
“Can the dog come inside?” she asks with wide eyes.
“No, I don’t think so. Just play with it from the doorway.” Doyoung pulls her up by her arm although she shows no physical resistance, but the pout on her lips reveal she wasn’t too happy with his answer.
Jaehyun who was watching the whole scene unfold from the other side of the windows chuckles at the three members. “Wah… No one makes JiHo truly happier than dogs.”
While the members start cooking, JiHo and Yuta lay on the floor by the front door, playing with their new dog friend.
“You guys aren’t hungry?” JiHo asks as she sees Johnny and Jaehyun—she’s sitting between the two—stare at her, rather than digging into the food that is right in front of them.
“No, I’m hungry,” Jaehyun answers simply and JiHo glares confusedly at the smirk he shares with Johnny before reaching her chopsticks out to get some food.
She’s about to put some of the meat in her mouth when Johnny and Jaehyun both reach out for her hand, pulling it away from her mouth which has her chasing her chopsticks with her mouth. The two men begin laughing loudly at the funny scene in front of them.
Quickly the other members catch on and join the laughter watching Johnny and Jaehyun tease their youngest member. “Let her eat,” Taeyong tells the guys but is still laughing as he watches JiHo glare at them.
“Yeah, let me eat,” she repeated before trying to bring some more food towards her mouth. She squints her eyes, carefully watching if Johnny and Jaehyun would try their act again. After a few seconds she moves to eat again, but quickly Jaehyun grabs her hand again causing the food to fall back down on the little plate she was holding. “Jung Jaehyun!” She yells out in annoyance and hits the man’s arm a few times.
Both men tell JiHo they are done teasing her and they are able to continue eating, but not without JiHo getting their payback once for each of them. “Now we can call it a truce,” she tells them with a smile.
“Oppa,” JiHo calls out from outside of the kitchen. Mark turns around and smiles at her sweetly, giving her a nod to continue talking. “I can help you.”
“It’s fine, you don’t have to,” he says as he starts to gather garbage from the dining table.
“No, no, I want to help. I’d be bored otherwise.” Mark isn’t even able to protest as JiHo’s already helping him out.
The two continue to clean up the mess their group left behind and do the dishes in a comfortable silence, every once in a while talking about random things and giggling about dumb jokes.
Doyoung joins them—and Yuta who also had offered “his help”—and says he’s about to go and get coffee for everyone.
“Oh, can I drive?” JiHo beams at the mention of going by car. Doyoung shakes his head in response and explains that he was going to drive and that Yuta and Taeyong were going to join him. “Why? Do you think I’m a bad driver?”
JiHo’s serious tone causes Doyoung to become a little flustered as he quickly denies the accusation. “Of course not! That’s not what I meant!”
When she’s turned back around, facing Mark, she shares an amused grin with the boy which Doyoung couldn’t see. “Now, I’m upset.”
“JiHo—”
“No! It’s fine! Just go!” She fakes a sulky tone which makes Mark break out in a fit of giggles.
When Doyoung finally catches on, he softly pushes her head to the side. “You’re such a child sometimes.”
“Says the one who needs four people to get coffee.” She eyed him smugly. “That’s almost half of the group and not even all of us drink coffee.”
“Well, you are no longer invited!” Doyoung says in an annoying tone.
“I don’t want to go anyway!” the girl argues back, mocking his tone.
“OKAY!” Taeyong steps between the two, grabbing Doyoung’s arm to pull him away from the girl. “You two both sound like children. Let’s go, Doyoung. Leave JiHo to help Mark out.”
Once Doyoung and Taeyong are gone, Mark turns back to JiHo with an amused smile. “Taeyong mom to the rescue,” he laughed, earning a laugh from JiHo as well. The sight of her laughing seemingly makes Mark grin wider. “There’s not much more left, you could join the others.”
JiHo turns around to watch the guys in the living room. “Aren’t the guys singing? I think I saw Haechan grabbing a guitar. You guys could sing together,” Mark suggests, but JiHo shakes her head and pulls up her sleeves to help with the dishes.
Mark’s smile fades a little before he makes another suggestion. “Is the dog still there? What’s his name? Kang Kang? You can play with him.”
JiHo giggles slightly, causing the smile on Mark’s face to return as he gazes at her with soft eyes. “Taeil oppa gave him that name,” she reminds him. “But, no, the doggie isn’t there anymore. It’s fine though. Helping you really doesn’t bother me at all. Stop trying to get rid of me.”
Both of them giggle at each other and turn to focus on the dishes again. “Okay, let’s get this over with so we can join the members quickly.” JiHo nods, giving him a wet fist bump.
“Let’s do it.”

Taeil thinks about it for a second while he signs the album on the table in front of him. “She’s a scary young sister.” Both him and the fan laugh. “But a sister I want to have around for forever.”

She’s really cute, but only with the people she’s comfortable showing that side to. I’m grateful I’m one of those people.”

Sometimes she surprises me or the other members with random things that we even forgot we said out loud. She’s someone I would feel comfortable confiding in.”
“Have you ever confided in her?”
Renjun nods and smiles, “I talked about my therapy before, right? Well I didn’t know JiHo that well back then, but now sometimes she’ll ask me to do art together and we’ll just talk to each other for hours. Sometimes she’ll just listen to me the whole time.”

“Oppa,” JiHo calls out for her team while Doyoung fixes her blindfold — making sure it doesn’t mess up her hair. “Let’s do it seriously, okay?” She asks but her team doesn’t answer. She whips her head around to face the team, tugging her blindfold up from her eyes — despite Doyoung’s protest — and glares at the guys. “Okay?”
Johnny, Yuta, Jungwoo and Taeil all immediately answer with an “okay”, clearly amused by their pouty maknae.
“One step to the left— NO! Not a big step, a small step!” Jungwoo screeches, trying to help JiHo through the course the other team set up. “Okay! And now a big step forward— NOT THAT BIG!”
“You lost!” Haechan excitedly beams as JiHo steps on one of the cups, sending a bunch of them rolling over the course. Her misstep causes them too many deductions for it to be even worth it for her to continue.
As JiHo tugs her mask down her face, the boys are greeted with a very unamused looking JiHo. She glares at her teammates and starts almost nagging at them. “We could’ve won it if you guys were more serious,” she sighs and Yuta immediately coos in response.
“Ah you’re so cute when you get all competitive and upset.” He pulls the youngest in his arms, shaking her from side to side in his embrace. Jungwoo pinches her cheek, babbling some adoring words in a high pitched voice at her. In response JiHo just rolls her eyes, trying to push herself away from the boys.

“Should the youngest go first?” Yuta asks and immediately all eyes turn to JiHo. Her eyes widen as she shakes her head in shock.
“Imji*, Imji. Let’s go.” Eunhyuk motions her over to the punch machine and Jaehyun helps by softly pushing her to stand up. (*Imji is a nickname Eunhyuk uses for JiHo. It comes from the first two syllables of her name Lim Jiho. Lim-Ji → Imji, because the L in her name is silent)
“I have a feeling JiHo is good at these types of things,” Kwanghee thinks out loud and the other members start agreeing.
“JiHo’s been taking boxing classes as well,” Jaehyun smiles smugly as he sees JiHo shake her head disapprovingly. “Come on JiHo! Show us!”
JiHo braces her right wrist with her left hand, wiggling it back and forth as if to warm it up. “I don’t think I’ll do well,” she mumbles but Jaehyun quickly starts cheering again for her.
The sound of JiHo’s powerful punch resonates through the room and everyone gasps in surprise. Even JiHo seems surprised from her position, now behind the machine. Eunhyuk goes over to the machine and watches the number continue to go up. “Wah,” he breathes, surprised. “Don’t get on JiHo’s bad side guys,” he chuckles before revealing the score. 928
JiHo seems a bit dazed as she sits back in her seat between Mark and Jaehyun, admitting she didn’t expect the result at all. “Ha, that’s so cute,” Mark smiles at the girl while Jaehyun pats her shoulder lovingly. The biggest dad smile adorning his face.
As the other boys continue the game, Jaehyun continues complimenting JiHo’s result. “You’re not in the last 2!” He says as soon as Haechan and Doyoung have a lower score than her. “Your score is pretty much the same as Jungwoo’s score,” he beams as Jungwoo scores 10 points more than her. “That’s 40 points less than you!” This time he couldn’t hide the incredible smile as Yuta misses his punch and scores way lower than expected.
“Yah,” JiHo chides Jaehyun with a smile. “I get it now, oppa,” she assures him and he smiles back at her.
“I just wanted you to know you did well.”
This might be the softest moment between JiHo and Jaehyun TT The way he kept assuring her, while no one was paying attention, but the editors subtitled it all and zoomed in on them and called them cute <3 I’m soft

This is when JiHo was still recovering/recovered from her hand injury she obtained during 127′s Japanese tour
While the members are hitting the piñatas that are hanging from the ceiling, Jaemin and JiHo stand in the back kind of just watching it all happen. Soon enough they realise it’s a lot harder than it looks, and JiHo reaches out for a ball to help the boys out.
Jaemin is quick to spot JiHo’s actions and pulls her back by her left arm. She turns around to look at him with big confused eyes. “Your hand,” he states, shrugging his head towards her right hand. “You still need to be careful,” Jaemin tells her and she lets out a small breathy chuckle.
“It’s all better now,” she assures him, but Jaemin shakes his head and keeps her by his side.
When the game is finished, Haechan’s eyes immediately dart over to Jaemin and JiHo, before darting at JiHo’s hand. He reaches out for it and locks his fingers with JiHo’s previously injured hand. Carefully, he swipes the pad of his thumb over her knuckles. “Does it still hurt?” he asks quietly, while the other members continue with their own conversation. JiHo smiles at him with a soft shake of her head. “Good. Be careful, okay? Tell me if it hurts again.”
“Why are you acting like this so suddenly?” JiHo lets out an amused chuckle, seemingly not being used to Haechan’s sudden shift in behaviour. “Why do you care so much?”
“Of course I care!” Haechan yells and suddenly all the members are looking at him. JiHo laughs quietly behind her hand as she watches Haechan’s ears turn slightly red and he stutters out of embarrassment. “I mean, as our team leader, you need to stay in perfect condition.”
“Okay…” Renjun hums about to start off the closing words for the video. Meanwhile, JiHo and Jaemin share amused looks while Haechan tries his hardest to avoid eye contact after the embarrassing moment, his tongue poking his cheek.
[[Un Cut] Take #10 | NCT 2021 Jacket Behind the Scene Pt.2]
The camera zooms in on JiHo, Sungchan and Shotaro. The tallest resting his head atop of JiHo’s, while Shotaro has his arm resting on JiHo’s shoulder. The three are all staring at something off screen, not noticing the camera that’s pointing at them.
Jisung and Chenle take notice of the other members and quickly join them. Chenle is quick to rest his own head on JiHo’s free shoulder and Jisung just stands next to them, smiling.
“Noona is so cute like this,” Jisung mumbles absentmindedly, causing Shotaro to break out in his famous sweet giggles. JiHo just purses her lips and tries to ignore him while Chenle begins to prod her side with his finger.
“She doesn’t mind us doing things like this because we are her favourites,” Chenle says smugly while looking at the camera that had approached them.
JiHo hums monotonously in response, “whatever you like to believe.”
Shotaro’s laughter continues while the three younger boys talk about how JiHo has a bias towards them while they cling on to her smaller body. She remains unbothered for the rest of the clip.

“To be honest.” All eyes turn to JiHo as she suddenly stands up and holds her hand up. “I have a complaint as well.” The group seems a little surprised at the statement, but most seem excited to see where this is going.
“Who do you want to call out, JiHo?” Kwanghee asks, already handing her a pair of boxing gloves.
She fixes the straps around her wrist before pointing her fist towards Johnny. “That tall guy over there. Johnny, come out!” She yells, trying to hide her excitement. When the studio begins to fill with surprised and excited cheers, however, a smile creeps onto her lips.
“What’s this about,” Johnny wonders, amused now that JiHo was talking informally to him.
“Actually, this isn’t only a complaint towards Johnny, but he’s the main culprit,” JiHo starts. “You know, most people aren’t 185 right?” She asks and Johnny immediately breaks out into a big grin. “He likes to make fun of me for my height a lot. Placing things out of my reach, trying to give a high-five that I can’t reach, acting like he can’t see me and resting his arms on my head,” she lists and the studio seems very amused. But amongst everyone one voice catches everyone’s attention.
“I agree! He also likes to do this to me a lot,” Taeil complains, earning laughs from everyone but JiHo who pulls the oldest to her side. “Why do you do it?”
Johnny can’t even answer his question as he’s doubled over from laughing.
“I’m actually very happy with my height,” JiHo tells Kwanghee and Taeil who both back her up. “170 isn’t short at all—”
“Yah, yah,” Taeil interrupts her. “I’m sorry, but you’re not 170 cm.”
A surprised gasp leaves JiHo’s lips and she frowns at the oldest member. “You’re supposed to be on my side!” she yells with a betrayed expression. Taeil just answers that he is on her side, but can’t spread any obvious lies. His response makes JiHo turn around and box her anger away; hitting Kwanghee’s protected hands.
Once everyone has stopped laughing JiHo glares at Johnny. “I should’ve never brought up my height. Czennie, you guys know I’m not short right?” She faces the camera and Johnny walks up to her to bring her in his arms.
“Yeah, yeah, you’re not that short,” Johnny teases, patting the top of JiHo’s head that’s pressed against his chest. Once again everyone starts laughing as JiHo’s protests are silenced against the fabric of Johnny’s jacket.
Johnny’s love language is 100% teasing JiHo. You might think this clip doesn’t fit the theme of the video, but look at how much the boys love teasing JiHo and enjoy seeing her “annoyed”
[220607 WayV Relay Live: HENDERY&YANGYANG ft. Kun]
“JiHo? What’s with JiHo?” Yangyang asks, confused, while looking at the comments. He looks at the two other members who seem just as confused.
“Why are they mentioning JiHo? Did she say anything?” Hendery asks, but the other two shrug.
The WayV members continue talking about random things when Yangyang notices a message from a fan. “Ah! They are saying JiHo mentioned us in her interviews,” Yangyang explains. “Hmm. JiHo said she enjoyed ‘Miracle’ a lot.”
“Actually,” Kun starts. “I know that Wayzennie don’t see it a lot, but JiHo is very close to us… I don’t know if ‘close’ is the word, but JiHo is always catching up with us. She calls us every once in a while, she comes over whenever possible, these sorts of things…”
Hendery hums along with the leader’s words. “Our schedules don’t always match up, but JiHo really tries to see what we are up to.”

“Sometimes it’s hard for me or the members to reach out to JiHo because we don’t want to bother her during her busy schedules but she reaches out to us instead. I’m actually very thankful for that because she acts as a bit of the link between WayV and the other NCT units sometimes.” Kun hums in agreement at Hendery’s statement.
“She’s a very caring younger sister, everyone.”

❀ As the members go around telling their aspirations for the coming comeback promotions, JiHo's answer takes the members by surprise. However, one person's response is able to make JiHo go speechless. The words more 'personal' than expected...
“And JiHo, is there anything you want?”
JiHo takes a second to ponder before she looks at her members with a soft yet bright smile. “I want the members to love me more,” she says. Some members either scoff in disbelief, stare at her confused or just laugh at her statement. “And I’m not joking. Genuinely, this is what I want.
“It’s been a little while since I’ve returned now. We also did the tour and other performances together, but I realised one thing. All those times I said ‘things are better now’ or ‘I’m happy now’, I guess I was lying a bit?” She looks at Mark and Doyoung who sit across from her and they nod in understanding, urging her to continue. “I don’t know what shifted, but while preparing for this comeback I just felt like things clicked again. I feel happier, I feel more ready, I don’t feel like I’m putting up a front in front of the fans or you guys.
“When I say I want you to love me more, I don’t mean that everything has to come from the members. I also want to become a more lovable person to you. In the past year I’ve almost been pushing everyone back and when I took a step back it was almost as if I was looking at everyone from the sidelines. As if I was looking at 127 and I wasn’t a part of it, nor did I have to be.”
The camera focuses on Taeyong and Jaehyun who are very zoned into JiHo. Taeyong’s hand is frozen in the air with a glass he was about to bring to his lips but forgot about. His expression drops into something more serious and he looks almost pained, but he says nothing while paying attention to JiHo.
“I want to put in an effort to prove myself as a member of NCT, even if that’s only for myself. I want to be comfortable and not guilty when introducing myself as a member of 127. And I think I felt this way because I kept seeing myself as a burden to our members. As someone the fans wouldn’t want to see next to the idols they look up to. And although I’ve been told the opposite many times, it has been hard for me to take to heart. A lot of you have said ‘let’s have fun and enjoy this comeback’ and I know that if I’m more open to that, you guys will be more comfortable around me and that would make me happier.” Once JiHo finishes talking it’s quiet for a second causing JiHo to let out an awkward chuckle. She grabs her glass, raising it and saying, “well yeah, that was that.”
Johnny next to her places a hand on her shoulder and squeezes it while pulling her closer into his side for a moment. “I’m glad you could tell us that, but don’t worry. We already love you a lot.”
“Exactly,” Yuta says without missing a beat. “You’ve been through a lot and it’s true I’ve taken a step back to give you a bit of space, but don’t think it was because I wasn’t comfortable around you. I only did it because I thought you needed it, but I’ll be right there by your side if you call for me.”
“Me too.” A voice cuts through the chatters of agreement and sweet words towards the girl, causing everyone to look a bit shocked at the origin of the voice. All heads turn towards Haechan who is focussed on the glass in his hands before his gaze slowly shifts over towards JiHo. She shuffles a bit more to the edge of her seat so that he can get a better view of her.
“I also think you’re wrong about how people look at you.” Haechan’s direct words cause JiHo to gasp silently—her mouth remains slightly opened. “I think you’re in your head too much and you think that the way you feel reflects on the outside, but it rarely does. If anything I think people are insanely impressed by how someone who went through so much hardship can remain professional and still look great on stage. You should give yourself more credit, and don’t worry about what we think, because we all love you very much and you’re so important to us.”
The moments that follow are filled with a weird silence. The camera catches Haechan looking down into his lap as he bites his lower lip for a split second. JiHo on the other hand is still looking at the same aged man. “Tha—” You’re able to see, not hear, the first half of a whispered thank you before the camera cuts to Doyoung who clears his throat awkwardly.
“Ah… What’s up with this weird energy,” he laughs in just as much of an awkward manner as before, while his eyes dart around the room sporadically. “Who’s up next?!”
JiHo and Johnny share a quick look before falling into soft laughter at their friend's attempt to move the conversation along. “I think he had a bit much to drink,” the tall American whispers to her, making her laugh a bit louder.
The conversation continues, and in the corner of the frame Mark is seen eyeing his two younger members for a while. He finds an opportunity to talk when Taeyong stops talking for a few seconds and fills it up with another comment. “I hope everyone gets along well during this comeback.” The members turn to the man in confusion. “And in the future as well of course,” he adds, noticing the stares and the weird look he was getting from some of his members.
“Don’t say that! The fans might think we don’t get along well!” the leader said with a clear pout.
“No! I know, I mean—” Mark sighs with an awkward chuckle following quickly afterwards. “I just hope that we can continue to lean on each other and if there’s any conflict between us we can move past it quickly.”
Probably unaware of the camera (and a bad idea to leave this in on SM and their editors), Yuta and Mark are seen eyeing Haechan—the former one a little more obvious about it than the latter. Haechan’s eyes are again focused on his hands in his lap and JiHo and Jungwoo share a soft smile, Jungwoo’s also holding a bit of sadness.
“Okay, then…” Taeyong speaks up, holding his glass towards the middle of the table. His eyes are on Johnny who immediately follows the leader’s actions.
“Let’s end this on a good note,” Johnny says before leading the cheer which all the members join in. All their less than cheerful expressions turned into those of pure happiness and excitement. “Let’s crush it!”

❀ JiHo appears on a Chinese Variety Show 'Mr. Housework 3', where her new roommates uncover her true feelings about moving away from the boys (this was filmed in September 2021 before she returned to NCT 127 and aired later that year)
“So, Jiji? Are you a good cook?” Xue Dong asks as he watches the young girl navigate the kitchen as if she had been living in the house for years.
JiHo smiles, shaking her head meekly. “I’m good enough to not have to eat the same thing every other day,” she explains, earning a hum from the older man. She continues to combine the ingredients for her dish in a bowl while keeping an eye out for the meat on the stove.
“Do you cook for your members a lot?”
With JiHo’s back turned the Chinese actor can’t see JiHo’s smile drop—the camera however can—before she smiles again, however a little less happily. “I used to cook for them every so often, but now that I’m living in an apartment away from them, I don’t get to do that as much.”
The other resident of the house walks in having heard the new piece of information. “Oh? I didn’t know you lived alone.”
“Not exactly. I live with my manager, but yes, I have moved out of my group’s dorm. It is easier this way since my schedule is so different from theirs.”
Xue Dong holds a soft knowing smile on his lips as he looks at the girl. “I don’t think that’s quite it,” he whispers with a sad look in his eyes which completely goes past Johnny. JiHo shares a quick look with Xue Dong but her eyes shift to Johnny even quicker as the tall man starts to talk.
“Don’t you miss them?”
“Of course I do,” JiHo laughs softly.
The room falls into a heavy silence with the two men eyeing the young girl in a brotherly fashion. They can almost see memories flicking behind JiHo’s eyes as her features shift from happiness to something akin to sadness in just a split second.
“Sometimes I miss the chaos, you know?” she asks with a smile and her two temporary roommates chuckle in understanding. “I also miss eating together and spending the evenings together. But our schedules are too different now. If I still lived in the dorm I think I’d be home alone a lot when they are on schedule and vice versa.”
“I understand,” Xue Dong says with a nod. He stands up and walks further into the kitchen to lend the girl some help. “You must have lived together for a while so it’s natural to miss them. I’m sure they miss you too.”
Johnny hums from behind the kitchen island. “Yeah, we’ve only lived together for 2 days, but I’ve already grown to care for you like a little sister. You’re very easy to like,” he explains, causing the other two to laugh. “What? I mean it!”
“Thank you. I’ve liked living here with you as well so far.”
Xue Dong, next to JiHo, pats her shoulder softly. “Good, let’s make these coming days just as enjoyable, okay?”

I think because this was when JiHo wasn't living with the boys anymore and now she had 2 male roommates, it would be conflicting yet comforting for JiHo since participating in the show would feel similar to how it was living with the boys. idk I just liked the idea of this so I finally wrote it ^^

[Twitter video: Fan call with Jaemin for “Hot Sauce”]
“Jaemin oppa~ I have one more question.” The fan speaks with a sickly sweet voice, gaining the idol’s attention after he finishes signing her album. “Yes?”
“JiHo hosted during your comeback show right?” Jaemin nodded, listening intently. “Wasn’t that a shame though? Wouldn’t you rather have Doyoung oppa? He’s done it in the past so why-” “I think JiHo did great.” He interjects sharply.
“And the members really loved that she got to do it.” The fan’s expression turns into a frown. “But she was on hiatus. She should’ve stayed-” Once again, the fan gets cut off, but this time by the staff shouting that the call was almost over.
“I’d love for JiHo to do all our comeback shows in the future if she could and wanted to. Also if I’m oppa, you should call JiHo unnie or at least address her formally. Please respect my friends.”
His serious expression turns into a smile quickly - but not genuinely. “Bye~ Have a nice day!” Before the fan could say anything the screen turns black.
I’m kind of happy this video got leaked (the girl in the video didn’t want to post it, but sent it to a mutual who posted it lol) because you can see how much Jaemin and the rest of Dream care about JiHo
[NCT 127 @ Incheon Airport 2019]
With the majority of the group and staff walking in front and with the bulk thinning near the end, there was more space for the fans to walk - and push - behind the group. It wasn’t a particularly big group of fans, but they still managed to mob the idols with how much they were pushing.
The camera is focused near the back of the group; Jaehyun, Taeil and JiHo being the last of the members to enter the building. The noise of camera shutters going off is becoming so frequent that it almost sounds like one constant buzz.
The video starts becoming even more anxiety inducing when fans start to shout, telling others to “stop pushing”, while NCT’s staff yells at them to “move back”. Even the video starts becoming shaky as the person holding the camera get’s pushed around. It’s only when an almost inaudible yelp followed by multiple gasps fill the airport, that everything calms significantly.
Jaehyun whips his head back immediately and looks down at the floor where JiHo sits on her hands and knees. “Move back.” He murmurs through gritted teeth as he walks up to JiHo. As soon as the male idol speaks those words, do the fans clear out a little. He helps JiHo up, who’s quickly joined by Taeil and either a manager or someone from security.
“You okay?” Jaehyun’s previous anger is impossible to notice as his expression turns soft instantly when speaking to the younger member. She nods while he inspects her hands. “I’m fine.” JiHo then adds as a verbal response. With only a small tear in her jeans on her right knee and an even smaller cut on her left hand, JiHo and the rest walk further into the airport.
Jaehyun refuses to leave her side until she is closer to the other members, who let her walk more to the front of the group to ensure nothing like that could happen again.
In case you’re wondering why Jaehyun and Doyoung (the other members as well tbh) don’t let JiHo walk in the back at the airport anymore, or at least not alone. Luckily she didn’t get too hurt, but she did get sad that she ripped her jeans with the fall. I really wished fans would stop going to the airport to see their idols

“You should really buy a- a closet. Like, a real one.” JiHo laughs. “How do you say closet in Chinese?” She asks and Chenle and Kun help her. After she repeats her sentence, but now with the right words, she let’s out a big groan. “Chinese is so hard!”
The two boys just laugh as they watch the girl throw a fit over how she already forgot so much Chinese since she came back from China only a few months before. “I need a drink.” Overdramatically, she wipes her forehead from fake sweat and heads out of the room.
“Noona isn’t as cool as you think everyone! She’s just a normal human like us all. With many, many, many~ struggles.” Chenle laughs his famous dolphin laugh, earning a smack on his shoulder from the older male. “Yah! You can’t say it like that.”
While Chenle continues laughing, Kun’s eyes scan his phone for comments. His eyes widen for a second, and his hand flies to his phone screen to scroll through the comments, finding the one that caught his eye before. Chenle notices the change in Kun’s demeanour and quickly read the comment. “JiHo’s Chinese is so bad. hahaha, I don’t understand how you can listen to her talk like that?”
Both Chenle and Kun take a deep breath, clearly trying to contain their annoyance. “She’s trying her best, and honestly she sounds really good. I don’t hear anything wrong with it. If you don’t like it, you can leave.” Kun’s voice is dripping with anger as he speaks those words with a tight lipped smile. “And at least she’s trying. Maybe we should just start speaking Korean from now on. Then you don’t have to listen to her speaking Chinese. Would that make you happy?”
Kun places a hand on Chenle’s shoulder, trying to calm him down and get him to lower his voice a bit. Before they can say anything else though, JiHo returns to the room with a glass of water in hand.
“Did I miss something?” She asks noticing the slightly-off atmosphere. The two boys turn to her with big smiles, acting as if nothing just happened. “No, we were just reading comments.” Kun said pulling out the chair next to him, motioning for her to sit down. JiHo didn’t ask anything further and the boys didn’t mention what happened just seconds before she entered the room.
This is actually so sad, because turns out that that “fan” posts a lot of mean stuff about JiHo on their Weibo account and Chinese fans actually said that JiHo’s Chinese really good for a non-native speaker. Also Chenle and Kun were so mad about this (┬┬﹏┬┬) it hurts my heart
[NCT 127 Neo City: The Origin in Dallas (JiHo’s Fanboys)]

“It’s kinda insane that I’m here after only being a singer for one year.” JiHo explains while looking at Johnny. “It’s all a bit surreal to be honest.” She accidently giggles right into the mic, earning a few smiles from the boys as well as cheers from the crowd.
As JiHo waits for the venue to get a bit quieter before continuing, a sudden loud voice pierces through the building. “JiHo! You’re adorable!”
All of NCT looks shocked at the loudness of the person’s voice, but that wasn’t the only thing that they noticed. “Isn’t this the same fanboy who came to the last two concerts?” A loud “yes” sounded through the building again, throwing Mark into a laughing fit.
“You got some really dedicated fans, JiHo.” Johnny jokes in Korean to which JiHo sent a heart in the direction of the fan. “A little too dedicated maybe...” Yuta added, rubbing his chin as he squints in that same direction. Once the translator relays the message to the fans, everyone starts laughing. “Don’t forget she’s not allowed to date till she’s 25. So boys stay away and-” Yuta quickly stops talking as JiHo runs after him swinging her hat in the air, warning him she was going to hit him with it.

The boys are goofing around in the background while getting ready for the next shoot, while JiHo is getting her makeup fixed. She’s not the main focus of the video, but she’s still in clear view as Haechan and Doyoung are getting filmed.
JiHo is just talking to the female makeup artist when a male staff member joins the two. Nothing looks really off at first, but JiHo’s smile is no longer there.
Mark is just stood on the side, just enough in frame to see his expression turn serious while he looks in JiHo’s direction. He continues staring for a few more seconds before walking up to JiHo. He says something, which seems like he’s calling her name and then places his head on her shoulder.
Not much else happens for the rest of the 15 seconds of the clip, but he does at one point send a glare at the male staff member which soon after leaves. When he does, Mark seems visibly more relaxed but still stays in the same position before the clip ends.
Many fans have said that the staff member was bothering both JiHo and the makeup artist, but SM never really confirmed anything. They just removed the clip because “nothing happened” and they didn’t want anyone to misunderstand??? Of course nothing happened! Because Mark was there and scared the creep off!
Honestly it’s still weird to me. I kind of want to believe that the male staff wasn’t a creep or anything, but SM could’ve just explained what was happening instead of just removing it.

Today is pole dancing!🕺🏼✨ | Johnny’s Communication Center (JCC) Ep.31
“Hey, guys, welcome to another episode of JCC,” Johnny greets the camera. “Today, we're here to experience a new thing, with this pole and,” he drags out the last word before turning the camera to JiHo, who's standing behind him. “I’m also babysitting this weirdo today.”
Johnny laughs as JiHo gives him an offended look; her features twisting in an almost unflattering maner. “I can leave if you want me to,” she offers and all that the older one can do is laugh louder. JiHo then faces the camera, holding it steady so it can focus on her face, “oppa is just scared that I’ll be better than him and embarrass him.”
“Yeah no,” Johnny points the camera at his face again, “that’s the last thing I’m worried about.”
The two members then meet the instructor and she gives a little intro of the class as well as teaching both of them how to climb the pole. Johnny goes first and JiHo watches him carefully with an impressed look. “Wow, you’re doing so good,” she compliments along with the teacher. Soon enough it is her turn.
“Have you ever done this before?” the teacher asks and JiHo shakes her head from side to side. “You seem like you’ll do great though,” she says as she helps the idol with her grips. “I’ve seen your videos, you seem like a great athlete.”
“Athlete?” JiHo chuckles sheepishly at the compliment. “I don’t know about that.”
However, JiHo seems to contradict herself quite quickly as she easily hoists herself up on the pole with great technique. Johnny and the teacher are a bit baffled at first, but Johnny quickly adds, “I don’t think there’s anything JiHo’s bad at so this shouldn’t surprise me that much.” He laughs as he says this and JiHo just shakes her head in embarrassment.
“Well, then let’s make it a bit harder today, since you are both doing so well,” the teacher comments, making the two idols look at each other in shock.
“If I walk away with bruises today, it’s your fault,” Johnny whispers at JiHo threateningly, but of course he’s just playing around. The teacher grins amused before they continue on.
The two idols continue their lesson, having a lot of fun in the process. JiHo continuously spurs the teacher on to make things more difficult for Johnny, laughing whenever Johnny gets tired or is in (non-serious) pain. On the other hand, both Johnny and the teacher have fun when challenging JiHo’s flexibility and core strength. They chuckle whenever JiHo’s twisted in upside-down positions, while she complains about her muscles twitching or her hands giving out — but besides that she does amazing.
“I'm tired,” JiHo sighs exaggeratedly, perching herself against the wall. “Teacher, you really enjoyed making us suffer right?”
The teacher laughs but doesn’t deny the statement, causing the other to laugh as well. “You both did amazing today! I’m really impressed.”
“Who was better?” Johnny asks with a playful glint and JiHo quickly stands up at the sound of the question. “The loser buys the other one dinner?” He asks JiHo and she smirks.
“Well, prepare to buy me dinner at that fancy Italian place I like,” she retaliates but Johnny snorts in amusement.
“You wish.” He turns back to the teacher. “So who is it?”
The teacher thinks about it for a second before giving her answer. “JiHo looked a bit more stable and effortless—”
“HAH!” JiHo cheers pointing at Johnny.
“BUT!” Quickly, JiHo’s smile falls as the teacher speaks again. A grin starts forming on Johnny’s lips. “Although he complained a bit, Johnny did do a few more advanced positions and he tried his hardest. So I think Johnny wins, but I do think you, JiHo, could do better than him.”
JiHo purses her lips in a mixture of shame and defeat while Johnny laughs and cheers proudly. “You heard that! Dinner’s on you!” The older points at JiHo playfully — almost childishly — as he celebrates his victory.
The two then thank the teacher before finishing off the video. “Thank you oppa, for inviting me today. I had a lot of fun, and it’s been a little while since we tried a new sport together. We actually used to do it more often, but we got a bit busy.” Johnny nods along to JiHo’s words. “Also thank you JOHFAM for having me, I guess,” JiHo giggled, earning a dad-smile from her older friend. “I hope you enjoyed the video and happy new year!”
“Bye, bye JOHFAM, peace!” Johnny waves.
The boys’ reaction (only NCT 127):
Doyoung was shocked at first, not knowing JiHo and Johnny had planned to film the content together. But as he watched the video his initial shock definitely subsided immensely. Of course he felt a bit unsure about JiHo doing such a sport out of all of them, worried about how some people watching it might sexualise JiHo. She showed a very different more feminine side of herself, and with her wearing only shorts and a cropped tank top, it seemed like a valid worry. But he also knew most people are decent human beings and wouldn’t think like that. Doyoung would definitely be impressed by JiHo’s abilities though and he also enjoyed seeing the banter between his two friends.
“You guys seemed to have a lot of fun during that JCC video,” Doyoung casually brought up and immediately Johnny and JiHo shared a playful glint. “What?”
“Are you jealous you weren’t invited?” JiHo smirked, earning a scowl from the boy.
“No that isn’t it, he’s just being a protective brother,” Johnny said smugly and Doyoung immediately denied it. “Sure, let’s act like I haven’t seen you report those comments about JiHo on the video.”
“What comments?” JiHo asked, innocently. Both boys didn’t answer her question though, as Doyoung glared at Johnny who seemed to enjoy it with a smirk on his lips.
Taeil, Jungwoo, Jaehyun and Yuta are 100% cheering JiHo on. They make playful comments about JiHo being all grown up and doing more “sexy” things, but it’s all in good fun (and to mess with Doyoung and Taeyong a bit). JiHo has done more sexy concepts with NCT than this video, since the pole dancing was more just impressive things and a showcase of her strength and flexibility. So they think that any concern about the video is useless.
“Our little girl is all grown up!” he yelled out causing JiHo to roll her eyes. “I can’t believe she’s gone pole dancing. You haven’t signed up for regular classes, have you?”
“Oppa stop, can we not talk about this while having dinner?” she asked with a small smile, knowing that the boy was just joking around.
“If you did though, I don’t think Czennie would mind,” he added quickly with a smirk.
Taeyong was way more nervous about the video than he wants/tries to let on. Of course he doesn’t have a problem with JiHo pole dancing and he also thought it was impressive and cool, but like Doyoung he was very concerned about the reaction. He was a bit too focused on fans’ thoughts and it showed. Spending a few hours just reading reactions, and getting angry when he found that one-in-a-thousand comment mentioning JiHo’s body or something inappropriate.
“Stop looking at the comments,” Johnny laughed as soon as he saw Taeyong scroll down the comments of the video again.
“I just need to make sure people aren’t saying—”
“People will say stuff regardless,” Johnny closed the YouTube tab on Taeyong’s pc. “Ignore it,” he told the leader, who had become a pouty mess but nodded.
Mark and Haechan are a bit flustered when they see the video on their feed for the first time. They are wary going into it, but as they watch it they are very impressed, again reminded that JiHo is indeed very strong and athletic (and also really pretty even while doing sports). They both don’t say much after having watched the video, but when it’s brought up they do show how proud and impressed they were (but like… lowkey).
“Have you seen the video with Johnny and JiHo?”
He nodded as he was asked the question. “Yeah, Johnny hyung and JiHo are really good at different sports. I couldn’t do anything like that haha,” he chuckled a bit awkwardly, not knowing how to react.

In this video JiHo doesn’t talk much.
She’s mostly just in the background or waving at the camera.
For the VCR for ‘Running 2 U’ she’s paired with Johnny in the ambulance.
“If I didn’t become an idol, maybe I would’ve been a doctor.” She wonders out loud. Johnny and Haechan who are next to her, waiting on instructions from the director, share a look. “I’m glad you became an idol.” Haechan says seriously and gave her a pat on her shoulder. “Yeah. You’re a great performer JiHo. Keep it up.” Johnny adds, mirroring Haechan’s motions on her other side.
“I could take care of people! Heal them and make them better!” She exclaims, glancing at both boys defensively. “Sure JiHo, you’d be a great doctor, now let’s continue with the next take. Haechan and Johnny...” The director yells through the megaphone causing the other two members to start cackling as they see the betrayed look on JiHo’s face.

“This ain’t it, chief.” JiHo groans as she stands in the big practise room. “I don’t get why you don’t want to do your solo song?” Rino questions. She walks up to the girl who’s just pouting in her direction. “Let’s leave that song in the past for now,” she chuckles, “I just want to show the fans something different.”
“Hi everyone, today we’re practising for my solo stage. We rearranged a song by NCT U, ‘The 7th Sense’ and I’ll be dancing and rapping to that. I’ve rewritten the lyrics and wrote my own rap so I hope Czennie are excited to see this new version.”
The practise continues with a few shots of JiHo performing and Rino giving her some pointers.
She’s now standing to the side downing a bottle of water, while sweat pools on her forehead and slowly drips down her face. JiHo looks a little stressed out and then Rino comes up to her along side Taeyong.
“You’re thinking too much about what you’re doing, stop stressing yourself out.” Taeyong tells her. He takes a step closer and pushes some stray strands of JiHo’s hair behind her ear. “You’ve changed your solo stage at least 4 times already-” “Is it too late to change it again?” Her voice cracks slightly as JiHo asks her question. She stares at Taeyong with a lost look in her eyes which makes him let out a deep sigh. “There’s no need to change anything.”
Rino brings the girl another bottle of water. “I can see each time when you start to doubt your performance, JiHo. It’s not going to change if you change the solo. So let’s try this.” Rino pulls JiHo to the center of the room, but makes her face the wall without mirrors. She then motions to one of the staff and suddenly the lights turn of in the room. “Just perform, me and Taeyong, and the staff, we will be watching. Don’t think too much, you’ll do just great.”
Once the song finishes, one of the staff turns on the lights and Taeyong jumps towards the girl while everyone cheers. “Good job, JiHo!” Rino then comes over and gives the female idol a high five. “Don’t doubt yourself, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone.”

While Johnny is practising his solo - shirtless - the camera pans over to the other members watching him.
Next to a very visibly speechless Taeil and Mark stands JiHo in front of Doyoung. He has his hands covering JiHo’s eyes, but he is too focused on Johnny to realise that JiHo has lowered his hands and can watch Johnny perfectly.
When the music stops, Doyoung walks over to Johnny to talk to him. The camera pans back over to JiHo who rolls her eyes.
“I know the fans will be a little jealous when they hear this, but... I’m used to it.” She gives a little nonchalant smirk while raising her shoulders slightly. ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ <- This is JiHo pretty much)
“I’ve gotten used to it, but I won’t lie. Oppa’s stage is really cool and sexy, I think the fans are really going to like it.” Mark walks up behind her and nods. “They will really like it!” Mark says. JiHo laughs before adding onto it again. “Like really, really like it.”
“Okay, you two. Isn’t it past your bedtime, JiHo?” Johnny smirks when JiHo looks at him offended. “This is what I get for coming to cheer you on?”

“Agh-” While practising for ‘Love On The Floor’ JiHo let’s out a sudden shriek. She sits up on the diagonal stage holding her face. “Oppa! Haechan kicked me in the face!” She shouted, yet you can hear a bit of amusement in her voice.
Haechan immediately sits up to assess the situation. “Did I really?” He asked, face covered in concern. She nods slowly and Haechan quickly pulls her into his arms apologising profusely. “I’m so sorry!”
Not long after on of the staff runs up to her. “No, no, no~ It’s fine. It’s actually my fault for moving too close to Haechan.” JiHo explains when more people start to join her. “Still we should check out if everything is okay.” Taeyong urges, reaching out for JiHo to help her off the stage.
When she reaches out her hand, she uncovers her face which causes Taeyong to exclaim in shock. “See! Your face is red.” JiHo just laughs as she rubs at her nose which Haechan accidentally hit. “At this point I don’t know if it’s because of Haechan or because of how embarrassed you are making me feel right now.” JiHo playfully glared at Taeyong, but followed it up with a sheepish grin. A grin Taeyong copies while everyone else starts laughing.
A little later JiHo returns and waves at the camera. “Our damsel in distress, she’s back.” Jungwoo announced, receiving an unamused look from JiHo. “I’m perfectly fine. Don’t worry.”
“My fingers are too big, I can’t do this!” Johnny is struggling with removing the stickers to decorate his light stick. JiHo notices this and laughs as she sits down next to the taller one. “Give it to me, oppa. Tsk, one of the oldest and needs help of the youngest.” She teased while helping him pick out the stickers from the sticker sheet. “Hey! Don’t be like that.” He warns. “Like what?” She shrugs her shoulders feigning innocence to which the older of the two lets out a deep sigh. “I hope the fans know how much of a menace you can be sometime.” JiHo just shrugged her shoulders again, finishing helping Johnny with his stickers.
