I'm sorry but the fact that some of you are "cancelling" chan for what happened and having the nerve to talk about ot8/2racha is the epitome of hypocrisy. Four days ago everyone was sobbing over how much of an amazing person he was for always being there for stays and almost worshipping him and now you act as if you don't even know this man and what he stands for and believes in. If you really loved and believed in chan you'd trust him to not do things that are disrespectful or offensive to any category, or at least not on his own will.
Yes, what happened is fucked up, and you have all the right to be disappointed. But going as far as hating on him and discrediting him for all the good things he's done before without even hearing his side of the story is even more fucked up.
You can call me delusional, but I do trust chan and believe he'd never do such things, whether it was the stylists choice or the company's decision is something we don't know, but it is for sure that idols and rookies especially pretty much don't get a say in how they are styled, even if they are against it (a simple example is all the idols who've had ridiculously bright hair colors or had their hair bleached 73584 times).
However I am not by anyway saying what happened is in fact okay, those who are saying that "it's just a hairstyle" should get educated on the matter of culture appropriation.
If it was his choice, then he does owe black stays and black people an apology, however if it was something he had no control over, then chan doesn't have to apologize for anything other than the misunderstanding. If anyone is at fault here and needs to apologize then it's the stylists/company.
So why don't you all give him the benefit of the doubt and wait for him to clear things up in his vlive rather than saying foolish things you might regret later.
If you go back to loving chan like nothing happened later, that if it turns out it wasn't his fault and everything is solved, after saying horrible and hurtful things about him before, please leave. It will only show that you're ready to drop him or stray kids at any second like they mean nothing to you.
