Pearl: I know! You’re giving me flashbacks. Please don’t repeat history. Okay?

Scar: Well— I, oh— whoa gosh! It’s happening. It’s happening. I’m drowning I—

Pearl: Scar get—

Scar: I just need a couple air bubbles—

Pearl: Sca—ah-aaaar!! Please.

Scar: I’m determined to prove that I can do this without dying.

Pearl: You know what. If you just waited for 5 more minutes, I would have a ladder for you and that would have been more safer.

Scar: *sighs* What’s the fun in that Pearl? What— What’s the deal with this!? This is amazin’!

Pearl: I know! I can see everything from here! I’m not tied down by anyone right now so I figured I would just, put my face in the stars! And go observe everybody else and silently cry to myself because everyone has abandoned me.

Scar: Lucky you! Grian’s banished my panda from outside and about 10 minutes from now I’m sure he’s about to banish me.

Pearl: No! Nonono— Well, this is a pretty cozy place. You can take your pandas over here!

Scar: I might. *laughs with Pearl* Save some room for over here there might be a second tower over here at some point!

Pearl: Look, I would love to have a tower neighbour! If you wanna be a tower neighbour, I’m all down for that.

A Comprehensive List of Scar and Pearl Ship/Duo Names

This is sort of a joke, but I’m also making it because I think it’ll make people new to the ship more easily able to navigate the tags. They have so many names it’s ridiculous ‘-w-

Starting off!

Ship Names (Romantic):

Scarred Moon! (This one appears to be the most popular. Additionally, it can be tagged as Scarred Moon, with a space, or Scarredmoon with no space.)

Scarpearl & Pearlscar (Also very popular but it’s helpful to use both of them because sometimes people will tag one but not the other)

Scearl (A mixture of their names)

Persca (Another name combination that’s not commonly used. There’s a lot of cute fanart of them under this tag though!)

Moonflower (I’ve seen this one used a little bit but it’s not as prevalent as the others)

Jilted Lovers (I think this one is specific to Pearl and Scar’s relationship in Double Life. Although I believe it can be used in a platonic context as well?)

Pearpair (I think this is romantic but it could also be platonic)

Duo Names (Platonic):

Sunflower Duo (by far the most popular)

Snowblings (Specific to them as siblings I guess?)

A couple snippets of the final chapter, Chapter Three:

“Do you want to get a fire going?” he asked. 

“I thought that’s what we were doing…” she whispered against his lips in her flirtiest tone. She sucked at flirting. 

Peeta chuckled gruffly. “I meant in the fireplace.” 

“Oh, uh,” she blinked, “yeah, sure.” 

He stepped away from her with a soft sigh. “Just setting the mood.” 

“A true romantic,” she commented. 

Peeta chuckled again and said, “I try.” 

*** Peeta scooped her up into his arms, bouncing her a little, playfully. “You’re so light, Katniss. No heavier than the sacks of flour I’m used to lugging around at the bakery.” 

Katniss gave a little snort, then smirked at him. “Well, thanks. Every girl likes to hear that.” 

Peeta chuckled. He carried her over to the rug but didn’t release her. Instead, he did a little spin with her in his arms. “Seriously, though. I love having you in my arms. You know, if we were together, I think I’d just carry you around all day long.” 

Katniss laughed a quick, breathy laugh. She wasn’t used to this kind of affection, to hearing such words. Gale had never been good with expressing his emotions. Then again, neither was she. They really were two peas in a pod, and apparently, that didn’t always work out. She most certainly wasn’t accustomed to the notion of being wooed on a daily basis. But she also wasn’t opposed to it.
