A Comprehensive List of Scar and Pearl Ship/Duo Names
This is sort of a joke, but I’m also making it because I think it’ll make people new to the ship more easily able to navigate the tags. They have so many names it’s ridiculous ‘-w-
Starting off!
Ship Names (Romantic):
Scarred Moon! (This one appears to be the most popular. Additionally, it can be tagged as Scarred Moon, with a space, or Scarredmoon with no space.)
Scarpearl & Pearlscar (Also very popular but it’s helpful to use both of them because sometimes people will tag one but not the other)
Scearl (A mixture of their names)
Persca (Another name combination that’s not commonly used. There’s a lot of cute fanart of them under this tag though!)
Moonflower (I’ve seen this one used a little bit but it’s not as prevalent as the others)
Jilted Lovers (I think this one is specific to Pearl and Scar’s relationship in Double Life. Although I believe it can be used in a platonic context as well?)
Pearpair (I think this is romantic but it could also be platonic)
Duo Names (Platonic):
Sunflower Duo (by far the most popular)
Snowblings (Specific to them as siblings I guess?)
And specially from some headcanons/roleplay @teapot-of-tyrahn and I have. Like.
Gem being mad at Pearl and claiming Joel as her new, better cousin, just to make Pearl "jealous"
They were best friends as kids and Gem felt really betrayed Pearl chose Scar over her (scar, who's pearl's brother also..)
They used to be a dynamic duo! What changed??
I also think Gem's slightly younger and looked up to Pearl a lot so the SL finale shattered that pedestal..
Oh also gifted kid Gem, she's gotta be the best at everything! Pearl's the fuck up. However Gem still believes she was always overshadowed by Pearl... no matter how many praises Gem got, she always thought Pearl to be better, even if no one else saw it that way...
Edit: Just in case it wasnt clear: pearl and gem /familial post. Causeee no offense but seeing people who ship a lot of gempearl like this lowkey worries me a bit, pls dont think its a ship post. I said shiny *cousins* for a reason. /nm id just rather make sure
The sun set over the horizon. The night soon would fall.
The moon came out to play, and so did the stars.
So this was goodbye, goodbye to this world, another win, many more losses.
With the press of a button, everything the playes knew would be erased.
Except it wasn't.
Except, he didn't die. He had to stay there, alone, all alone.
Or so he thought.
You see, Scar GoodTimes was a very lonely winner, much like the Scarlet Witch had been, several years in the past.
But. Here's the catch. Scar couldn't die.
And if every player wasn't dead yet… no player could be gone yet.
The server of Secret Life had become a ghost town, inhabited by sixteen specters and only one living man.
The man's reality was sad to see, specially by his friends still roaming around the ruins of their old homes, destroyed by war.
Months had passed… maybe a year or so? And they still hadn't been allowed back on the waiting room they so much despised, yet couldnt help but miss now.
Despite all their effords, no one could communicate with Scar anymore, Grian's ability to was revoked as soon as he pressed that button.
But life had to go on, it just had to, or they'd go insane.
This time of peace let everyone talk to eachother, resolve their differences, understand that at the end of the day they were all in the same boat, and that, as long as they had no counters over their head, there was no use in having any sort of hatred for eachother, really.
Today was a peaceful day, actually!
Everyone was hanging around the Secret Keeper statue, now decorated with many beautiful flowers Scar had grown with all the free time in his hands.
The mood seemed as casual as ever, nothing too special.
The Big Dogs did a little freestyle rap while Skizz and Bdubs gave it their all with their moves.
Not far away, you could see Tango, BigB, Impulse, Gem, Joel and Lizzie hyping them up, Mumbo could only watch and laugh, trying his best to cheer Bdubs on, but all he really did was chuckle awkwardly, and let out a small "oh dear" here and there.
On the other hand, there were the Roomies talking to the server's newest and oldest couple, Pearl and Scott!
Finally official, after so many years of will they wont they that drove everyone around them insane, living together, divorcing, and becoming friends again, everyone was relieved.
Not worrying about teams, tasks and secrets made their relationship easier, that's for sure.
And now there they stood, Scott's hand around Pearl's waist, chatting with Grian and Cleo as the teal haired man signaled over their shoulders at Etho.
The canadian cleared his throat, bringing everyone's attention to them, and stopping the little show the heart-mound-dogs… the big-ers-foundation? The guys (and gals!) were doing.
"Cleo…", he started, making them turn around and chuckle as soon as they saw the ring, "Please-"
"I'm not gonna marry you, Etho", she cut him off, "you suck as a father.. plus I dont want kids anymore.."
"Aw man, I really thought we'd have the family back together", Bdubs chimed in, making Cleo facepalm, as Etho looked up at them with the same big sad eyes as their "son".
"Oh shucks.. well! Can't say I didnt try.", the white haired man shrugged as he got up from one knee.
Everyone looked confused for a second and laughed, probably another spontaneous bit, maybe something someone would actually have to check up on Etho later over, though he really didn't seem to mind handing the box over to Scott when he asked to see it.
As laughter started to die down, the scottish man imitated the canadian a couple moments earlier, clearing his throat to get people's attention back on him.
"Everyone! Ehem. I feel like this moment is too beautiful to let it end so sour. Don't you agree?"
His boyfriend chimed in, "Scott, what are you..?", but he quickly got on one knee before moon and took the australian's hand on his own.
"Come on, Pearl", he grinned, his smile as perfect as ever, "what do you say? It's only for the rest of our lives!", he chuckled cheesily, showing her the ring, before he began to sing…
"Peaaaarl, let's try it! You love me.. don't deny it!"
The wolf hybrid could not awnser just yet, all because she looked up to be greeted by a perfectly imperfect choir of all their friends, clearly trying their best to back Scott up, "Say I Doooo…?"
Pearl started laughing, tears in his eyes, voice cracking as he awnsered after a long pause she knew his beloved's incredibly dramatic plan needed, "……….. I.. Do, I do, I do, I do, I do.. ♡"
Scott was quick to get up and kiss Pearl, not like moon would let him do anything else, he couldnt stop kissing his lips and face over and over again, repeating "yes, yes, yes, I do, every life, for every season, every world, every server… oh you nugget, come here"
She pulled him into a longer sweeter kiss, and he just HAD to pick moon up and spin him around, as their friends cheered.
If only her brother was here to see this.
But, alas, this was one of the happiest days they'd had in a long while. This was the happiest they'd been since Their Last Summer together in that cottage.
And now there'd be many more summers to come, no matter the time of the year or type of base. Cause home is wherever their soulmate was.
