The late Jim Harmon, recounting this story in a nostalgic essay ("A Swell Bunch of Guys") in the 1970 book ALL IN COLOR FOR A DIME, remarked, "I have always suspected that one tap from the Spectre’s green-gloved hand could have jammed Dr. Fate’s golden helmet down so far over his ears, he could never get it off if he worked ad infinitum."
