met JimblyJR for the first time, he let me take a screenie with him.
me (alexxia) and PaulGato

I've been thinking about "Enter Jimbly "(do not watch if you're easily upset. I don't even know how to content-warn this thing. It's got medical scenes- and a head slowly rotting away for the rest of eternity so discretion should be considered)
I have so many questions... Jimbly starts off as a normal guy (he appears to be a patient of some sort) and his hair gets shaved off, leaving him with a bare scalp and an abrasion where either clippers cut him or perhaps something more nefarious (such as some sort of localized or endoscopic surgery on his frontal cortex)
A dark figure wipes his eyes, and we see what we can best assume is a trail of blood falling from them. In the next shot, he still has his lids but they're dark and his eyes are discolored. He appears to be in pain.
What is this device? Is this the thing that ultimately severed his head from his body? What happened to his eyelids after? Was the light inside the machine so intense it burned off the lids and his eyes as well?
He can still see, as implied by when he looks at two other heads in a similar situation and appears to smile.
Time drifts on and slowly Jimbly starts to look worse for wear. It ends on his skull covered in burned, leathery skin. His eyes and lips are almost shut by swelling. He's all alone in a deserted world.
Why was Jimbly's head removed? So many people have speculated it was willing, and I still think it is but not for the same reason. Most hypothesize he wanted to remain or become a famous spectacle.
Personally, I think he was terminally ill, and feared death.
When we see the two other heads next to Jimbly, slowly they stop singing and die around him. Leaving him alone. What does this mean? That Jimbly was, unfortunately, a sole survivor? Did their refusal to sing on kill them? Or were they just simply growing too weak where Jimbly did not?
We see in his intro video which came out a few months prior to "Enter Jimbly" that he was placed in a convenience store, singing for uninterested masses that passed him by.
I wonder if anyone occasionally stopped to listen.
When the world ends, and he was all that remained... how long did he sing for? When it comes to mass extinctions, the ones we've had never totally annihilated life (so far) and as long as that happens, their is hope that millions of years later, a new era of evolved life forms from what remained will inherit the earth.
I like to believe Jimbly kept singing. Singing until new life asserted itself. Perhaps a new lifeform would've fed upon his skull. As disturbing as it is, I would consider that a happy ending. It would provide him company as it granted him the sweet release everything else he had seen had.
He is so good, I love him.
Jimbly is a good boy.
