Now that I'm finally done with Love You Seven Times, these are my thoughts:

I LOVE DING YUXI

proceed only if you have completed watching or just skip to the last part if you want my review, includes spoilers.

What happened to Immortal Li???? I was waiting till the end for him to show up again or at least for then to tie up that loose plot thread but absolutely nothing? My funny charming just there for the plots sake Li js gone? Ah I miss this guy

I love and absolutely adore their costumes during the demon arc cause chu kong's hair is to die for and xiangyun's eyeshadow is a masterpiece. Their entire costumes are just top tier.

The colors of this drama OMG. each and every scene has such freaking pretty colors and no scene is bland as such like just amazing

Even the power thing like each character has their own power color and the colors looks so awesome good plus the scenery the background the entire set deserves appreciation on it's own!!!

Not gonna talk about the obvious xianxia problems that occurs in these drama iykyk

Thank god xiangyun's friend cum colleague showed up in the last ep cause otherwise idk it would've just been weird

Can we talk about how all the characters have such good accessories and then haoxuan is just dressed up in simple one or compartively simpler one's? Serves him right.

Their first arc about the boar/pig with the tiger is the cutest and will be the cutest out of all, you can't change my mind. Plus the way they jeep hinting at it even in the last ep>>>>

I wanted to see ming yue get some closure girl just existed for the plot I feel so bad for her she just wanted to spend time with her sister TT

The mortal arcs were super fun esp the 2nd where xiangyun is just playing around with chu kong and the 4th one with the body swap

Is it just me or is it that the cast for this drama is small? Like other dramas have a super long cast with drawn out side plots but I think that aspect was kinda missing in this drama I didn't find a good amount if side characters it was just the same ones repeating again and again

BUT the entire story is so cute and lovely even with all the plot holes.

It just makes you feel warm

Ding yuxi has done it again, that man has carried the entire show in his shoulders and has done it amazingly well.

If I were to rate it out of 10 I would give it a 8? Mainly and mainly for the amazing colors which you would NOT find in other dramas and the costumes I love the costumes.

Would I recommend you to watch it? Yes but don't take it as serious drama. It's a lighthearted xianxia with amazing costumes and colors💫

Jiang Cheng found me eventually. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised he’d been looking. I was so used to being forgotten that I guess I figured he and Shijie would forget me too. 

Nearly cracked my jaw when he slugged me. Nearly cracked my ribs when he hugged me. 

But in return one of the cracks in my heart mended instead. 

I wouldn’t tell him what had happened or why I left. I wouldn’t let him give me money or anything else to help my life. As I said before I was done with handouts and with being a burden or those I care about. 

He looked like he wanted to slug me again but in the end he respected my decision. 

Well mostly.

One thing he wouldn’t back down on was the phone. He told me he needed a way to contact me. That Shijie wanted to be able to talk to me again too. 

I couldn’t say no to that. 

He ended up buying an apartment here in Gusu. He said it was for business. I don’t know if he was lying to me or himself. 

He gave me a key. Told me I could visit any time. 

He’d grown up so much since I’d seen him last. He was more confident. More self-assured. I guess my leaving really did do him some good. 

Or maybe he would have grown into this anyway. 

Who can say?

I asked him how he managed to track me down. He told me it was our old friend Nie Huaisang who did it. 

Nie Huaisaing (yes I’m talking about you. Deal) works with his older brother as a pair of Private Eyes. 

I know right? Like I thought those were fake jobs for the movies. Apparently though it’s a real thing.  Nie Huaisang was our friend growing up. We met him at the dojo (his brother made him go. Said something about if he wanted to be a PI he’d have to at least learn the basics of defense. Eventually he gave up and accepted Nie Huaisang was a lost cause in that regard but at least he’d been there long enough for us to become friends). 

Apparently Jiang Cheng had tried to hire Nie Huaisang to track me down. Apparently Nie Huaisang refused the money and did it for free. Apparently Nie Huaisang said he’d beat Jiang Cheng out if Jiang Cheng told me that he’d done it for free.

Do it. I dare you. Just let me watch. 

Don’t worry. I know a great doctor. :D

Shijie eventually found the perfect compromise with her mother. 

Well… it wasn’t even a compromise at all. 

She ended up married to Jin ZiXuan. 

He’s a peacock. And an asshole. 

But he makes her happy. 

I know he’s a Jin but as far as Jins go he could be worse. 

They fell in love and even Madam Yu couldn’t protest such a match. 

And he dotes on her. Treats her like a princess (as well he should). So I guess it’s okay.

And I got a niece and nephew out of the deal!

Little Jin Ling is 3 now and he gets into everything! I remember the one time he’d met little A-Yuan and followed him around like a little duckling. (A-Yuan is almost 6 now and he deserves his own post. I’ll tell you about that little angel later)

Jin Lian is only 1 and a half and she looks just like her mother. She’s the sweetest baby too. Never fusses. Jin Ling is so protective of her already. It’s adorable. If someone new tries to hold her they have to get past him first. Stared at me a good solid minute before he decided I was trustworthy. 

Life… Well it wasn’t perfect but it was getting there. I’m still not able to see my family as much as I’d like but I do get to see them. 

I’d picked up skateboarding as a way to get from place to place and a way to relieve my own stress. 

And then I met Lan Zhan.
