how do you pick your colors?? your eye for color is incredible and im jealous and need ur guidance!! pls ty

thenks! i have a habit of using a group of similar colors and then adding a few details that would be from a clashing group of color i.e. use warm tones for the main illustration and then squeeze in a few bits of blue somewhere(usually where i want to lead the viewer’s gaze). honestly, i just eyeball that shit until it looks somewhat decent. my only legit advice would be to look up color theory and use the mosaic effect. basically, pick a pic that has a spicy color combo, pixelate it, and use eyedrop tool on the colours u want to steal. gucci.

#pic i used in the example is ass but u get the point #tbh i just cross my fingers and pray the colors turn out looking ok bcus my old fart monitor tends to make everything look brighter #jingleriot

I would say look around artstation? Searching for Pathfinder gets many good results but in general there is tons of amazing artists.
