Snake x Doom = Jet x Jin

I went to see The Bad Guys 2 and I was surprised to see this dynamic. I had the thought of making Jin a honeypot secret agent for both Zuko and Jet. In my original draft, Jet would feel hurt and betrayed. But after seeing TBG2, I found it comical that Mr. Snake finds Doom even hotter after the betrayal 😂 Maybe I'll incorporate that into Jet's character? Idk, we'll see if it fits in my plot.

okay so its ba sing se

jet is still scoping out lee and mushi because he thinks that theyre firebenders except in this au he actually hangs out in the tea shop (much to zukos annoyance because zuko knows what jet is doing but jet is acting like hes innocent af (hes not hes so fuckin suspicious lmao zuko knows exactly what jet is doing)) they have a weird friendship cuz like they both are sus of the other but they both have to pretend to be friends.

anyways jin comes in. shes a regular. she hasnt spoken to either of the boys yet. so this time iroh suggests to zuko that he asks out jin and jet is right there and is laughing at how red zukos face gets and then zuko (like the little shit he is) is like “actually uncle,,, i think jet should ask her out. considering hes got a massive crush on her. why else would he be here so often?” and iroh is like “nephew thats brilliant” and practically shoves a startled jet over to her table.

jet is thinking to himself ‘i cant let mushi know im here for him and not some girl. fuck you lee.’ and figures he may as well ask her out. one date wont hurt. shes kinda cute. she seems nice. whatever no big deal.

except its the best date of his life. jin is funny and sarcastic and makes him think.

so he asks her out again.

and again.

and again.

and she helps him see that he doesnt need to fight anymore. he doesnt need to be a hero. he deserves to have fun and be a teenager and live his life and hes finally safe enough to do that.

so jet gives up on trying to figure out lee and mushi.

he still helps the gaang and he never dies in the catacombs. he ends up leaving ba sing se with the gaang and jin and becomes confrontational towards zuko at the southern air temple because he knew he right all along. jin is confused and they explain everything and long convos need to happen.

eventually jet and zuko get past their differences and (begrudgingly) become friends. theyre mean as shit to each other tho but now in a friend way.

jin and jet are a part of team avatar and everything is great and happy and they have a grumpy third wheel zuko who cant stand being around them but at least the two of them are better than sokka and suki who are literally way too pda for zukos mental health.

yeah. jinjet.
