There’s a sleeping form on the counter again, all fluffy shaggy hair and soft sleepy snuffling. Sandeul stares for a moment (doesn’t he get tired of waking up with register keys imprinted on his face?) before he leans in, super close and super careful.
“I never told you this, but did you know you’re my type, hyung~?”
He cackles and flees before Jinki can ever hope to be awake.
Sandeul’s hand is hot and sweaty in Jinki’s grip; he clings, letting his hyung back him into the corner. He just wants to stay there, protected and safe, Jinki’s frame hiding him from the eyes of the hunters.
But he can’t.
This isn’t Jinki’s fault.
“Hyung….”
“Sandeul, no.” Jinki doesn’t let him say a word past that; one finger barricading his mouth. “I know what you’re going to say.”
“You do not!”
“I always do,” Jinki counters. Sandeul has no argument. He’s right. “If we go down, we go together.”
So Sandeul lets his hyung pull him close, and waits.
[`stares you down (very non-threateningly; he doesn't do scary like he wishes he could) from behind the register, eyes wide and cautious of the new face. he's most definitely older than you and he (thinks he) has most control over the shop due to experience as an everlasting cashier--but that doesn't mean his social skills are any better than when he first began working at the jar. he approaches you slowly. with the friendliest expression he can muster--which doesn't look very nice-he says] hey.
[/he stares back for a while, deciding with a bit of relief that he can confidently say that he's never met this man before. which, usually, shouldn't really be something he worries about, not because people usually don't, but because he simply doesn't really care sometimes.] hey to you, too. [/he stands, shifting his weight back and forth on his feet absently.] name?
KyuJong sighed, relaxing at a table at The Cookie Jar and enjoying a piece of delectable cheesecake. He smiled at the other male, politely offering the other half of the cake. "You know, it's because of you that I can enjoy life."
When Jinki gave him a confused look, he smiled and shook his head. "I've been kind of down a lot, recently. It's because of you that I can smile again. I often thought about giving up and going back home...but then I see your face and remember why I'm here." He chuckled, taking another bite of the cheesecake.
"Because someone makes a delicious cheesecake. Lifted my spirits. Brought me out of a slump." He pulled a frame from his bag and showed it to the other. "I decided I'd be a food photographer. This was from my last visit. I thought you could hang it in the shop?"
