really truly i would watch a whole sitcom of The Untamed older siblings as teens taking care of their baby younger siblings (exaggerated age gaps for Dramatic Effect)
like…modern AU where they all go to the same high school but keep running into each other dropping their little siblings off at elementary school so they start a support group or something:
Lan Xichen with baby Lan Wangji because their parents are always traveling. little Wanji is definitely autistic and semi-nonverbal, but their parents won’t get him tested because they don’t want him to be “labeled” so Lan Xichen is basically flying blind trying to take care of him using his own research, and struggling to get Wangji’s teachers to understand that his little brother is very smart, just a little different
Wen Qing with baby Wen Ning who has his own set of health problems. their uncle has taken care of them ever since their parents died, but he’s the CEO of a major business and is almost never home, so Wen Qing is the one taking her brother to all his appointments, who has his doctor’s number on speed dial, who’s backpack is always full of medications and approved snacks, who’s sometimes running out of class or missing school because Wen Ning needs her
Nie Mingjue with baby Nie Huaisang…it’s thanks to the inheritance his father left behind after he died that Mingjue is even still in school, he’d be working to support them otherwise but being the head of household and a single parent before the age of 18 is rough, and being technically the largest shareholder in his father’s company and expected to one day take over as head is no walk in the park either. even so, he spoils Huaisang as much as possible, his baby brother deserves all the happiness in the world
Jiang Yanli with baby Jiang Cheng and baby Wei Wuxian. little Wei Wuxian has ADHD but their father refuses to put him on any medication for fear of “stifling his spirit” and Jiang Cheng is very sensitive to the fact that his brother garners more attention simply because he has different needs. it’s a fine balancing act to make sure both boys get the attention they deserve, and that’s on top of living in a house with parents who would rather do literally anything else rather than have a civil conversation
Jin Zixuan, well-meaning jock who really wants to be their for Yanli (because he’s in love with her), but has genuinely no idea what to do with small children, leading to a comedy of errors every time he’s left alone for even a few minutes with the Chaos Twins. Yanli likes him, but isn’t sure she has time for a boyfriend with everything else going on in her life
Meng Yao, boyfriend of Mingjue and Xichen, and child of a single mother who’s actually really good with kids thanks to his soft voice and gentle manners. Huaisang adores him and goes running to him whenever “Da-ge is being mean!!!” and even little Wangji will say a few words to him, and he almost never speaks to anyone but Xichen
Qin Su, Meng Yao’s best friend and half sister, meets Wen Qing through the Older Sibling Support Group and immediately gets a list of Wen Ning’s dietary restrictions so she could start bringing snacks that he can share with everyone and not feel left out because he had to eat whatever his sister packed for him. Wen Qing really had no choice but to fall head over heels in love
