It happens.....(seriously??)

Okay Mauritius lost to the seychelles in football finale today....well played by both teams and ended in penalty shoot outs. Had guests at home, couldn't follow the game that much,just the penalties, but apparently mtius was real good today. I am honestly happy for the seychelles because they were the hosts this year and actually deserved to celebrate. I can't even imagine the frenzy the people out there might be in! 

P.s : just a fact, population of the seychelles: around 90,000 and population of mauritius 1.2m( seriously??)

Jeux des îles de l’océan Indien( Games of the islands in the Indian Ocean)

Today, i came across my favourite local magazine which is Scope. The people at Scope did a fantastic job putting together a special edition for the JIOI as we call it here, underlining all major games and all of our local sportsmen. 

Following that, out of curiosity, i tried to look the web for more coverage on those games, because i kind of have little appeal for the local media. I was horrified(that's the word yeah) to find very little on the subject, which is really a pity, because we do have some great athletes.

I'm going to try to follow the games as much as i can this year. I think i'm going to be mostly vouching for the football, the swimming competitions, sailing and volleyball. I'm thinking boxing too.
