Social media allow companies to determine their target audience and enables them to target their audience through the convenient use of social media ads. I know this because there would be no purpose to promote a concert/tour to people who are not already fans of the band. This ad shows them in concert and provides information about the year the tour will take place. This is unique because the video gives fans the chance to see their favorite artist and creates a want for them to go to the concert. The target audience for this ad is basically all of their Face Book friends. Its unique features are that it gives information for lots of up coming concerts, instead of just one. I personally think they both are effective in their own right. The Video ad is effective because it gives One direction fans the opportunity to skip the clutter of unwanted concert information, and allows them to view only the concert material they want to see about their favorite band. On the other hand, the Social Media ad is effective because it gives Live Nation fans the opportunity to choose from a large number of concert options and see what upcoming concerts they might want to attend.
