Satoru & Taleah: Weird ahh smirk 💀
My attempt at a comic or whatever. Idk what I'm doing anymore.
Honestly guys, I'm not very positive about Megumi. Of course, I really believe that this countdown to Megumi's death thing might just be a marketing ploy (seriously, dropping the bombshell that the most popular character in manga can die and then take a break is a very smart thing to do and that will generate a huge buzz on twitter until chapter 232 comes out.) But I also don't think Megumi will last long in the manga. Let's write it down. _ Mind in complete collapse. _ Sunken in evil. _ Lost the most important person in his life. _ Shattered soul. I don't think the power of true love can save him from dying (or becoming something worse than Sukuna even)
But it's definitely not Fushigurover until I see a coffin.
My theories are: _ Tsumiki will appear to talk to Megumi. It became a little clear to me that the "brothers" relationship is something very important to GG. Megumi and Tsumiki, Mai and Maki, Todo/Choso and Yuji. And one of the constants is that whenever one of the brothers is about to fall, he is helped by the older one. Think of Mai, even if she felt a bit of resentment towards Maki, she was still there to help her get back on her feet. When Yuji fell in Shibuya, Todo appeared to pick him up. Choso was about to die, but the thought of his brothers made him struggle to defeat Kenjaku. Did you notice the pattern? So, it makes sense to me that the one who will get Megumi back to fighting will be Tsumiki. GG didn't just raise her to be the "girl in the fridge", I'm sure of that. Tsumiki barely appears, being just a person we know through Megumi's eyes, so this would be the moment to really see her on screen. And if there's anyone who can make Megumi fight, it's Tsumiki. Yuji and Gojo can help, but she is the big sister who will lift him up. Furthermore, Lilies also symbolize "protection", and they were associated with Tsumiki. If anyone can protect Megumi from harm, it's Tsumiki.
_ Megumi won't come back… Completely. Now forget everything I said above. Megumi will still come back, but he will come back the same way as Maki. He lost his sister, the good part that kept him in line. He killed her with his own hands. Megumi is not the hero. He's just a kid thrown into a dangerous world, with powers he didn't even want, relying only on Gojo's "kindness" for him and Tsumiki to survive. Megumi saves people because he trusts him own conscience. He's not saving because it's the right thing to do (like Gojo and Yuji) or because he has to (like Geto). He kills curses because it will make a better world for Tsumiki. Now, he doesn't have Tsumiki anymore. What he has is a broken soul, a stolen body, and powers that can't help him. Megumi is not Geto, with his desire to make the world more evolved. He is not Yuji, determined to save as many people as possible. Megumi is someone who will set the world on fire by taking everything out of it. Then, it will be left to Yuji to defeat him and give his soul rest. If that happens, we'll only have two options: Either Yuji brings him back to the light, or we'll parallel Satosugu again (please GG, if that's your plan, do it masterfully)
