i've wrote this for a period of time since i got this ask and have changed my answer several times. yes. he absolutely does have a soft spot for you, but he really actually HATES that about himself. you've managed to penetrate the armor he's worked so hard to put on. i feel this applies to most versions of sukuna in any au. he's a terrible awful man, there's no soft spot UNTIL he meets you. so i imagine it takes awhile to get to that part.
which leads me to the idea that he has to get to know you for awhile for him to develop these feelings. you'd have to be a long time friend or a long time foe.
it hits him one day how much he longs for you. he wants to hear you talk, wants to see every version of you. shows up out of nowhere in your life the moment you let him in.
like ofc he wants to hit SOOOO bad but why? he can HAVE sex literally anytime he wants with mostly anybody, so why is he craving YOU specifically?
he's taking notes on all the things you like and dislike. he's suddenly become more spatially aware of his body. he's not insecure but he does care suddenly about how much contact he's allowed to take up with you. he cares soooo bad about the clothes he wears suddenly. if you compliment one outfit suddenly it's the only thing he's wearing around you.
the thing that really fucks with him is how badly he wants to fit your criteria. he wants to be the one man in the world that fits perfectly to you. he has never in his entire life cared about any of these things until he met you.
so yeah, soft spot sure but if he's in love with you, he's a different man entirely around you. he has to put up the walls when there's others in the room but the ryomen you get is different from the one everyone else gets.
