Because I love JJ, Otabek and Leo’s friendship and I’d like to think they spent one year training all together in Detroit with Celestino as their coach, before JJ and Otabek moved to Canada. Me and @yakoucchu did the math and it make perfect canon sense. We will tell you all about it in due time in our upcoming fanfic...stay tuned <3

If you are following me and/or @yakoucchu then you MIGHT know than we’re working on a pre-canon fanfic, settled in that particular time when JJ, Leo and Otabek trained together in Detroit and it will be focused on the relationship between the three of them, but more specifically between JJ and Otabek in canon compliant.

Chapter 1 is ready BUT mine (our) OCD is not letting me (us) publish it yet! XD

We’re two humble Italians and, as you could already guess, English is not our mother tongue.  @urielsgate is helping us with the first review (and we will never thank her enough!!) BUT..

We would like to have the help of an English mother tongue beta. It would be marvellous if you’re Canadian or from the US for JJ and Leo’s sake BUT we’re not that fussy.

My (late) entry on the prompt FRIENDS for the @jjstyleweek​ !

I have a lot of feelings and headcanons about the time when Leo, Otabek and JJ used to train together in the US so I couldn’t miss the chance to draw a short comic and give JJ (and Leo) some space! I hope you can tell they are younger (they should have been around 14-15-16 years old at that time?) that’s why JJ doesn’t have any tattoo yet :)

For those who don’t know Alexisonfire is a real Canadian post hardcore band. I’m a huge fan of them so of course they were my first choice for this comic! (Please if you know them directly DO NOT show them this! I would be too embarrassed!! But I do suggest you to listen to them!)

Also it’s canon that JJ is a rocker (look at his performance on stage for the Theme of King JJ!) and after Kubo Sensei’s manga is clear that Otabek is into rock music. I picture Leo as someone who loves ALL kinds of music without boundaries, so...I feel like they would want to go to as many gigs as possible in their free time, and that Otabek and JJ would root towards something heavy like rock, hardcore, metal, post hardcore, punk..all these alternative bands (that are my kind of shit if you couldn’t tell). So yeah, I feel like rock music is something that had a great part in their friendship, aside from ice skating :)

who holds the umbrella when it rains: JJ (it’s always him lol, poor boy)

who is the grumpiest in the morning: hmmm… maybe Leo… a ray of sunshine most of the time, but really grumpy in the morning. Especially if he can’t listen to his fave song.

who worries more when the other is sick/hurt: Leo probably, even if the others also worry a lot, but both hide it (JJ with his cool attitude, and Beka by staying silent and stoic).

who plays pranks on the other: JJ and Leo

who is always the first to suggest cuddling on the sofa: hmm… Usually I’d say JJ… but I can see Leo as a cuddler, so I’d say both of those goofs.

who insists on creating nicknames for the other: JJ, Leo comply happily, Beka needs a bit of insisting to give them both nicknames.

who drools on the other when they’re asleep: JJ and Leo.

who says ‘I love you’ first: hmm… Leo, with a personal mixtape he sends them. you know he expresses his feelings through music (they all do I think…
