That's really cool, I have a similar thing with recurring places and such. It's almost like I gave them names like Autumn Town eternally orange being near the center and then above that is a magical field where magicians and sorcerers practice mythic arts and watch over different realms. If I go east from autumn I end up in some sort of eternal rain district, city of neverending gray but when I go there I end up being around 8 or 9 years old physically. To the west is another town thats not named but there’s a portal to hell in an apartment building that kind of acts like a vore portal where a giant mouth appears and sucks you in. Outside the town realms is forest of fog where monsters live but you can be teleported almost anywhere from there. Ghosts and spirits wander and Ive visited destroyed cabins that succumbed to fire and abandoned asylums where troubled spirits tend to gather, some violent and some just lonely. I could go on and on, but that's really cool to hear and share. Autumn town also has an alternate reality family of mine. Mostly adopted but I woke up wondering where my blonde sister and 2 brothers had gone and where "dad" was. I was once trapped on another planet by a powerful demon that killed me over and over to make me... "stronger?" Because he knew I wouldn't "break." And he wanted to teach me what he knew not necessarily to help me but to entertain him. I died over and over trying to will myself to breathe where there was no atmosphere. I died over and over trying to lift or push things far too heavy for me. I kept dying but retaining all my memory of how he was fighting me and killing me and somehow not much physically but I began to tap into something spiritual or mental that allowed to me get closer and closer to his level until finally I met him outside where he would talk to me between matches or squabbles. He told me he really wanted to die, but not just succumb to death because that would be boring, but truly be pushed to his limit and overpowered. I knew to respect demon kind as far as they being superior to humans, but I also took all his words with a grain of salt and mild distrust. Blah blah long story short I killed his physical body he laughed and his shadow thanked me for showing him a good time. He wasn't perturbed about it since his metaphysical form couldn't be destroyed, but he left me there and told me when I wanted to go home, I would figure out how to leave and he vanished and I no longer felt his presence. I don' recall how the dream ended, but it was one worth remembering. I really appreciate those dreams even with demons and spirits that frighten me, but ultimately teach me something whether directly or in passing. Especially one demon that I feel like may or may not be a real life demon based on past experiences with the supernatural in my life. Basically chased around an old baroque mansion or castle by a Wolf who stood about my height standing but to scale. So massive. Shadowy black fur and eyes as red as a perfectly ripe apple. He chased and barked and growled at me until I was trapped in a dead end hallway. He slowly approached baring his fangs and right before he got to me and I expected to be thrashed and shredded to pieces he told me in a strangely unrealistically clear voice and tone to open my eyes and be not afraid. When I asked him why he chased me and terrorized me only to talk to me and tell me not to be afraid of him he responded, “ To teach you fear, and to show you that you in fact can overcome it. Will you let your fear make you run? Or will you run your fear?” I used to draw weird pictures as a kid, maybe weirder than what I draw now but I remember a pentagram being burned into my hand and the name “Ren’s Star” Echoing in my head. I don’t know if that’s a demon’s way of marking you, but I have way too many weird things in dreams and in waking to put into one post. Sorry for this being a small novel, but thanks for sharing and or reading in turn. Do I believe in spirits benevolent or malevolent? Indeed. Sometimes I wish I didn’t and other times I feel very lucky/unlucky lol.
