Homesick | Nadilee
Nadia unlocked the door robotically and led Jubilee inside. She saw her surroundings, but was detached from it by necessity. Eva’s art supplies were still on the floor next to the couch where she was attacked, the paper splashed in dried blood. Instead of the usual delicious scents coming from the kitchen, there was only the smell of the garbage that hadn’t been taken out along with rotting food in the fridge. “Thanks for coming with me, Ju. Where should we start?”
