@jlf23tumble​ and @kerasines​ are both AMAZING and tagged me in this 7 albums thing. I went for the 7 albums I’ve enjoyed the most this year (which was surprisingly hard, I feel like there’s been a real lack of good music in 2020 - just to add to the overall Disappointment of this Hell Year).

favorite fic you wrote this year ahhh that’s difficult because I wouldn’t know how to measure this. be my once in a lifetime was amazing to write, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, it happened really fast and it’s fun making myself suffer through the angst. it feels very round. but so does all my life are safe beside you now - and I think it’s the peak of my sex as metaphor for repressed feelings trip.

but! I also had so much fun writing lend me your thoughts and, what’s even more important, so many people told me they felt comforted and reassured by it. and since making people feel that way is the literal dream, it’s probably my favourite fic this year.

favorite line/scene you wrote this year

okay, this scene from be my once in a lifetime:

This event is much smaller than the last. It’s not quite intimate, but the host greets everyone individually and the seats are assigned. After a fancy dinner that Louis spends talking to an Instagram influencer and a designer pair with grand ideas and an even grander ego, the lights turn off. And then everyone is forced to wear orange neon lights wrapped around their torso. The club seems like a fever dream with everyone dancing to vaporwave and getting continuously brighter as the night goes on. Because for every drink one buys, another string of fairy lights is coiled around one’s body.

Harry is ablaze like a fucking bonfire. 

(I’m so happy felix @louhearted likes that line, too) I’m so proud of it since it’s a very dramatic visual, stays within the colour scheme of the orange fairy lights; demonstrates how drunk and frenzied Harry is; stands for the way Harry acts throughout the fic and in constrast to Louis, especially in this scene; and is a great culmination in the pacing of the prior paragraphs.)

there’s a ton of scenes I’m really, really proud of though. and a loooot of sentences but somehow i can’t recall any of them rn :( (read = due to the fever)

vorite character to write about this yeari answered this on tuesday as harry in Amor Victorious and louis in do you know me by heart because of the Gender, but ALSO louis in be my once in a lifetime :(( he’s got way too much of myself in him (as do all my characters tbh)

thank you!! that’s what i figured i was just confused by this context becuase like “if i take a picture of an avocado toast and post it obviously i’m a boyo,” just like.....didn’t really make sense to me so i was just rolling with it
